Was there really that much demand for the cast of Mighty Ducks 2 to reunite? Are the Dunston Checks In, Celtic Pride and Bushwhacked reunions on their way?

I think you're underplaying the importance of the Mighty Ducks franchise. It's the only real hockey movie kids had, and the first is a legitimately well made film that works for all ages. Thus, at least the first two movies are often *the* childhood comfort food movie for a lot of this g-g-g-generation.

I'm pretty sure they are what got me in to hockey in the first place.

I didn't like hockey much and I still kinda don't but The Mighty Ducks were one of mine and every other pre-teen kid's main franchises. Before the MCU, you had to take what you could get.
When I heard that there was gonna be a cartoon I was like super excited, because I was expecting like animated versions of Goldberg and Julie and the Bash Brothers and whatnot. Then I saw that Wildwing (the mascot) was gonna be the protagonist, and I'm like "ok...could work.". Then the spaceship came down and the Tim Curry monster appeared and I'm like "uh....mom, I'm sick today..."
No really, it was a fun show (Nosedive was awesome), I just remember being let down that the movie characters didn't get the show.
