Oh goody, that means we'll hate Ambrose by the end of the year. Ambrose isn't being forced down our throats. He's down our throats consensually. That just sounds so wrong.

I think WWE is starting to pick up on just how special a performer they have in Ambrose. He's got that intangible thing that just draws eyes to him, the dude is just over as all hell yet it's not like with Bryan where people are actively revolting against all non-Ambrose parts of a show.
I'm pretty sure WWE is content right now to play it by ear, and see how over this dude can get before really deciding their long term intention with him.

How is it not possible to push both guys? Lesnar/Ambrose isn't a match that especially rivets me. Is turning Ambrose really that horrible of an idea? Right now WWE has the most god awful heels on the planet. Sure, Lesnar is a heel but he's barely on TV, and Rusev has a glass ceiling to what he can do given his gimmick. So we're really left with The Authority as the main heels for large portions of a show and I can't think of a faction with less heat. Kane needs to retire and Orton needs a face turn desperately. That said, I can't imagine Ambrose as a corporate suck up character. I think turning Ambrose heel would be really, really dumb. You get a guy who is this over, and who everyone wants to see succeed, a plucky underdog who won't lie down when he's told to, you don't make him the bad guy. That's insane. And his babyface work alongside Cena's in that opening segment was like night and day. Ambrose is badass and dangerous and unpredictable, like Austin was, and those qualities will always get him cheers from the fans. He's genuinely riveting in these promos, because you really don't know what he's going to say or do. How is that guy ever a heel? Honestly, when looking at Ambrose, in his scruffy jeans and leather jacket, and Cena in his all branded, all corporate Cena-wear, there was only one guy who fit the mould for the heel in this Authority storyline. Cena has always been the corporate champ, and trying to paint him as anti-authority is laughable.

Im fine with reigns eventual push as "the guy" but also I think that ambrose could end as an equal to him like rock amd austin.
Rollins will be like a HHH, not as high as the other 2, but still close to be an equal

Am I in the minority who actually wants all 3 shield members to be succesful?
I see no reason for any of them to end up being the Marty Jannetty of the group.

Good. His return pop sold me. That's who you go with. Push the hell out of him.

The guy Cena will destroy to get over. I bet in 2004-2006 people were saying HHH was going to destroy Cena but... Imagine my disappointment when that didn't happen.

I think 90% of fans want all 3 of them to be successful, as they all have been to this point in time (all 3 getting major time on mic/in ring), but Ambrose is the most prepared in terms of faceness right now so pushing him (whether it's for the long terms or short term until Reigns returns) seems entirely correct. Reigns will be fine and can develop and be put across a little better, but Ambrose seems the most convincing, and Rollins as the cheap/jerk heel works as...well, he's pretty much a jerk heel from what most people say about him in documentaries. Everything's lined up for Ambrose/Rollins to have match up after match up for the next year or more, hopefully we'll get an amazing triple threat ex-Shield match at a PPV too. All three guys deserve it.

I would much rather Daniel Bryan got a real, proper shot at being The Guy but if that's not going to happen (due to injuries and lost momentum or WWE's refusal), Dean is a pretty damn good consolation prize.

How about this for a curveball? Rollins cashes in after Brock has a tough defense at the Rumble, Ambrose wins the Rumble. Our WM title match is Rollins vs Ambrose.

Question is would they let that title match headline WM? Probably not, truthfully. It'd more than likely be like the Punk vs. Jericho title match and then Rock vs. Cena to end the show. Lots of moving parts for what the big final match would be. It could be Rock vs. Brock, since that was the original WM30 plan.

So he was locked in a janitor's closet and escaped through the vents? Weird that he's getting over when his gimmick is just Bender from The Breakfast Club.
