Not Saturday morning, but only recently was I reminded this existed:
What was it with all these R-rated movies getting cartoons around that time (even if only the first movie was rated R)?
Speaking of which, I liked the Toxic Crusaders cartoon when it first aired. I can see why people don't like the fact it exists, though.

Teacher's Pet. It was on OSM for about a year in 2000. Then it was on again and off again for another year and disappeared completly by early 2002. That show had some awesome art (50-early 60s inspired art) and had some relatively famous people as VOs. Nathan Lane was the voice of the dog, Debra Jo Rupp was the mother, Jerry Stiller had a recurring voice over roll, etc. What I liked the most was the writing. It was a really good show. It's a shame anyone hardly remembers it. If I remember correctly, it became a movie (that failed miserably) and at one point during its run there was some sort of theme song done by Christy Carlson-Romano (Disney's normal MO pre-Hannah Montana, anyway). That movie is probably responsible for the fact that no one remembers it. Hell, I vaguely remember that it came out and was surprised to be reminded that the movie even existed when I was reading up on the show. Sure, we remember it, but I wouldn't put it past the posters of FAN to forget. I'm sure if you asked anybody off the street to remember the cartoons of Disney's One Saturday Morning, I doubt very much that most people would reply with Teacher's Pet as an answer.

was there a cartoon about Michael Jordon, Wayne Gretzky and some other bloke who played (American) football and baseball as well, and they had an old lady who made them weapons out of the balls/sports based items?......or have i made that up? Pro-stars the last guy was Bo Dallas Jackson. They reran this show along with other classic DiC, (er sorry, Cookie Jar shows. what's DiC? that company never existed) on THiS for a while. Sadly they don't run that kids block anymore. But, yeah, Pro Stars was the show I'd start my Saturday Mornings with before Sonic the Hedgehog.

I don't think this ever aired on Saturday mornings in the US, or even when it was new. It only aired here on the THiS kids block.
Was it on Saturday mornings in the UK?

I think it was on CITV in the afternoons if I'm remembering correctly. Saturday morning in the UK had the Disney stuff/Power Rangers/Big Bad Beetleborgs on ITV and Live and Kicking on BBC one, which only really had Rugrats.

Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat - easily one of the best Saturday Morning cartoons I've ever seen, if not THE best. It's a damned crime that it was so short lived and became so obscure.

The Far Out Space Nuts - Bob Denver and Chuck McCann are two janitors at NASA who accidentally get launched into space on a Saturn V rocket. They fly their lunar lander around the galaxy having all sorts of adventures.
The Secret Life of Waldo Kitty - it was Walter Mitty but with cats. It started with a live action story with cats. Then we would see Waldo's imagination which was cartoons. Then it would finish up with live action again.
The Lost Saucer - Ruth Buzzi and Jim Nabors are two alien robots who pick up two earth children and get lost in their flying saucer. Hilarity ensues.

Rosie O'donnel did have a cartoon. He baby sister would always go "Wosie, Wosie, Wosie". Also, the comedian named Louie who talked in a really monotone voice and had a gap in his teeth... Anyone remember his cartoon? He voiced the character and just used his normal voice despite being a kid.
Also, the cartoon that was based on the Monster League video games (or were the games based on the show?) Bones Jones was the man. The cartoon came on at like really weird times, like 5am. Only caught it when I couldn't sleep.
This is one of the best threads ever. Watching that Ed Grimley opening was surreal. It was like watching one of my earliest memories that I almost didn't even remember from the furthest region of my brain.

The Comic Strip (probably cheating on this one, since it was actually a bunch of cartoons rolled into one including Camp Mini-Mon and the Tiger Sharks)
I remember Punky Brewster used to have her own cartoon show
Mr. T used to have a cartoon
Geez, my mind just went blank.

Road Rovers was tragically overlooked. Which I always thought was odd, the concept almost begged for WB to give it a big-time merchandise push. I heard that and Freakazoid were canceled partially due to needing to put more educational programming on the network. on hammerman I love how in detail he goes with the breakdown of the story... he goes through the whole damn thing including opening the bag and finding magical shoes that he puts on the ground... and then put them on ... I actually remember when Freakazoid got cancelled pretty well, and in retrospect it was one of those rare times the WB and Time Warner acknowledged their partnership pretty openly; I recall commercials on Cartoon Network that displayed characters from CN's trademark shows of the time asking Freakazoid to come over to their channel.
