Ok, let me start by saying, that TNA can't be saved with Dixie Carter still owning it. But let's hypothetically say that after Spike TV throws them out and as they're about to debut on WGN or Velocity, Dixie decides to sell the company. You pull enough money to buy it, what would you do? Who do you hire to run it? Which wrestlers would you sign? Let's stablish some rules, you have a limited Budget, not Ted Turner money not even Carter Money lol, you can't go signing CM Punk for instance, the second rule is that you don't get Spike TV to air the show. You're basically starting from the bottom, to the point that TNA is barely above being an indy. How would you manage the company?
First things first, I would make a huge effort to get rid of the name TNA, like close the website, and its social media outlets, rebrand them as IMPACT! Wrestling. For my staff, Tommy Dreamer as head of creative (Gaburick and all those guys would be fired) don't get me wrong I'm not letting Dreamer wrestle under any circumstances, no more ECW nostalgia bs, but he knows his wrestling, Paul Heyman taught him everything about booking a tv show. Running Talent Relations would be Terry Taylor (I would try to steal him from the WWE) during his time running that department the guys he hired kicked ass, there wasn't that much people wasting airtime when he was in charge. Jim Cornette would be head agent, he's not booking anything he's just putting together segments developed by Dreamer and helping the guys with their promos. Christopher Daniels and Low Ki as agents, they're getting old and won't be around forever but their experience would be appreciated, they can taught the Young guys how to put together their matches. For commentary I would only try to keep Mike Tenay as the only play by play guy (like Joey Styles did) it's cheap and he actually knows the name of the holds unlike Taz (with the Budget I wouldn't be able to afford him which is a good thing.)
Who would I sign? It's tough, I don't think I could afford AJ Styles, I would talk to him, tell him the company situation, try to get him as a part timer and letting him work outside bookings. I would try to develop new stars, Ricochet would be my top priority, also Joey Ryan who can work, cut promos, and he could also work as somewhat of a liason with the indie stars. Adam Cole, Brian Cage, Elgin, Masada (Abyss ain't gonna last forever we need a new violent monster), Ivelisse Martínez (no one can replace Gail Kim but she's good), RedRagon, Young Bucks (limited dates because I can't afford them, I would also let them take outside bookings.), amongst other talents. One thing is for certain, no more WWE rejects unless it's put over the new TNA roster.
What about the current roster? Well if you're over 35 you're on your way out, except Bobby Roode he would be to me what Terry Funk was for ECW the veteran establishing guys. Masada would retire Abyss and become the new monster, same with Ivelisse retiring Gail.
Direction of the company. I'm not stupid I know that for the first years I'm gonna lose money, the company needs to grow before making money, the storylines would be developed with an ending in advance, not change the direction because of the ratings. I would hire a pr firm to help create a new image for the company, like a new logo. I would focus on the social media of the company, like building an audience using twitter, Facebook, and YouTube (upload cool original concepts like the old roh newswires or ecw style pulp fiction promos). The wrestling style would be focused around the X division, the knockouts would be a mixture of good wrestling and funny matches (like the women wrestling in the wwe during the attitude era).
I'm not planning on competing with the WWE, I'm not stupid, right now I can't, but in 10 years? Maybe, it's like what happened with the USFL, they got greedy and tried to compete with the NFL instead of carving their own niche, the NFL pretty much won without doing anything.

I'd make it 'street'. Stop trying to be WWE-lite. Have young guys in street clothes, realistic fighting style, no entrance musics, everyone looking like nasty, horrible SOBs who you'd cross the street in broad daylight to avoid. The only way to get a hook in the market is to be niche.
Stop being low-rent McMahon and start being something kids watch against the will of their parents because of the content.

WWE has the cartoons and the Mountain Dew sponsorship and the Turtles. There's a ridiculously huge gap in the market for hardcore/emo style violence porn.

Man can I hire you for my company? lol you're right, the only way a small product can be succesful is by creating a nieche market. Like it's must see tv, like 2005 UFC

I'm sure one of the street hoodlums would bring a boombox to play music. The only problem would be that it would play during the match and after as well. And the guy would act annoyed when told to turn it down. It would lead to a feud actually.

Dude that would be awesome, think about how the ecw fans gave the arena that cool vibe, that they thought that they were part of the show, TNA kinda had that with the impact zone in Orlando, but Dixie pissed them off by calling them cast members and insulting their intelligence. It also didn't helped that they used plants that didn't reacted accordingly.

I'd sit Dixie Carter down and I'd tell her "Dixie, I know this is painful, but you have to acknowledge reality. There is no going back. I understand what you're going through and I'm here to help relieve your suffering." Then I'd put a 45 on the table, kiss her forehead and tell her "Just close your eyes and make it fast" and then I'd walk out and wait for the bang.

This is what I will do. First thing I do is re brand the name. TNA the name is to damaged and has a reputation that has no positives to speak off. Impact Wrestling is a better name. The company is going to need a huge overall on how it is ran and who is in charge of what. First thing I do is find someone who is truly qualified to be the head of talent relations Big John isn't that and wasn't close to that in his WWE job and search for talented production guys who looking for a chance (cheaper but the show needs too look good). The issue is the money rule but to even move on as a main stream promotion on TV you need it. So what I would do is find me an investor.
So I said investor in away Someone who can get me enough money to get the ball rolling on things that does need to done. I don't need several hundred Million but enough too do things. because lets be real if an invester puts money down what are the chances it be someone who has 100s of Millions? The talent needs work in there guys on there who don't belong on TV or is just not it. So the roster cuts looks like this (based on the roster page).
Anderson, Bram, Abyss, Gunner, Shaw, Rhino, The Menageries, Bischoff (he still listed), Jackson, and King Mo all get cut. Same with Taz and Tenay who just terrible. Taz could become an agent (If he interested other wise gone). Now with the rumors of Josh Mathews signed. He will replace Tenay and Tazz will be replaced with JB. I do a tryouts to fill Christy's spot when she leaves.
Team 3D is a tough situation as I like Bully Ray. However I want to cut ties with there wrestling school being nobody there been worth a crap and far to green and could kill the relationship.
What I do for talent is this. Since money will still be an issue as this investor money isn't realistic be huge, but enough to cover stuff like venues for shows and advertising. First thing for the first year at less. No House shows because they loss money and don't draw.
All I will have is Bi weekly TV tapings (One event two shows tapped, like they did for a long time.) All talent have the opinion to work indies to make money. The only sign deal they have is for the period of time they are here they cannot sign with the WWE until there dates are filled. I figure I save money by still paying for the date but the wrestlers can get other work as long they are here for my TV show and the one PPV Sunday. I figure this way I can get the best Indies guys and help them get the TV time but not break bank on them.
The main guys under this mold I bring in would be Young Bucks, Bad Influence, AJ Styles, Cole, Elign, and well you get the idea.
The next thing is really find a direction for the company and making the PPVs mean something again and in return Buyrate will slowly rise. I figure if I can price is reasonably and make the shows really good and mean something. It can do decent. The direction be more wrestling based and less talking and have no repeating WWE angles and ext. Really be the other direction to whatever the WWE is doing.
I shoot for reasonable goals as in not trying to beat the WWE, compete against them, just trying to be a solid number two and make money. Rating goals will to get better then what they have had. 2.0 would be the realistic goal, getting that and maintaining it.

I think the major stepping off point would be having Christy Hemme working at my house in short-shorts. The rest would probably work itself out after that.

We can all agree that tna is in such bad shape that it would need to almost go back to the darktimes in regards of Budget before it becomes a succesful company, like burning everything and starting from scratch.

I don't know.
I do know however that after all these years, I've just realised if you pronounce "TNA" as if it was a slurred word it sounds like "Tenay" and I can't help but feel that's the problem.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Tenay Impact Wrestling. I'm Mike Tenay, Tenay champion alongside my broadcast partner Taz. Taz, last week I competed in the first ever Tenay Wrestling Mike Tenay Invitational Tournament where I used my extensive knowledge of random wrestling factoids to defeat most of the Tenay roster. Then, in last week's main event, I faced off against Tenay champion Bobby Lashley and brought the Tenay championship home."

Burn it down, collect the insurance money then start a new promotion that's not named after sexual innuendo. I'd still book Cheex for my first show.

New Name-something like New World Pro Wrestling something that is far away from anything TNA or Impact related New Direction-Would sell it as the united States only Pure promotion and fit the niche of pure fans though would likely keep EC3 and Spud for comedic relief maybe brig in Cabana as well My Legend:Kurt Angle only wrestles maybe twice a year and hype the crap out of it International Talent:Try to bring in at least 2 UK wrestlers and 2 from Japan Fire:Abyss, Garett, The Clown group or what ever they are

K, to be on the serious side: 1. The company officially gets rebranded as Impact Wrestling. 2. All stars get paid flat rates but are free to take as many info bookings as they need so long as they make Impact show dates. 3. Look for a new home location to film out of to reduce production costs. 4. No more feuding with other Indy Feds. Instead, try to build connections to cross promote with them. 5. Any backstage position that can be interned out will get interned out 6. Beg and plead for sponsorship 7. Keep a finger on the pulse of wrestling fandom to get an idea of what they want to see
