I'm glad the refs gave A&M the game like that. Eh, wasn't the refs that missed the FG by like forty feet; and then just stopped playing defense. The game got away from them after that fumbled snap. Til then you were driving down the field and really burning clock. When you're a grind-it-out team you can't get behind on the count. Even then the game could have been different if you make that fg. Going up by a second score is huge that late in the game.

Yep. What's sad is the fumbled snap only lost em two yards. Then alla sudden it's insurmountable, when the previous two plays were like fifteen yard runs each.
And yeah, they go up by ten, and that ices it. I have NEVER seen a FG that far off.
But really, if Skinner isn't called for tripping, and Williams long run would have led to points; up by 21.. that woulda ended it I think.
It's just par for the course with the Hogs, as you know, almost always IN big games--seldom finishing em out.

Wait...don't college have the same rules as the NFL where if you even remotely look like you got your bell rung you gotta get checked? I'll wait and see on this one but I thought the rules were similar. Even in the NFL they don't always follow through with that. A couple years ago Colt McCoy was knocked out and they never did a concussion test, last season the Raiders sent Terrelle Pryor out there with a concussion. About Michigan though, player mutiny coming? To be fair, if you breath on colt McCoy he gets concussed

So Charlie Weis will have a decided schematic advantage in the unemployment line after being canned today with a 6-22 (!) record

So Charlie Weis will have a decided schematic advantage in the unemployment line after being canned today with a 6-22 (!) record Hey it's not his fault, he didn't have Ty Willingham's recruits to carry him this time. Weis can be a good coordinator for someone, but is not a good coach.

I'm a UGA fan and I gotta say I think the Dawgs are ranked too high. Let's be honest, if it weren't for Gurley, the Vols would have stomped them. Their defense is young and Mason is definitely not Murray's successor. I think they should have beat South Carolina too, but they just couldn't get anything going on defense. And I think the coaching needs improvement too. I hope they win a national championship some time soon, because this whole thing about "we won the N.C. 30+ years ago" stuff is getting old. I don't know, maybe I'm being too critical. Georgia's has and has had a ton of potential, but they just can't ever get it together in the big games. They always get blown out or choke.

Not a good night for Ole Miss They have not earned their ranking, and will likely get a rude awakening soon. Never underestimate a team with Lane Kiffin finding a way to screw up. [/quote]

Charlie Weis is best as an NFL OC, no clue why he insists on embarrassing himself as a head coach all of the time.

I feel bad for Charlie Weis. Yes the team was horrible but getting fired midseason is never good.

Coaches Poll
1. Alabama (15) 1,477 2. Florida State (26) 1,468 3. Oklahoma (14) 1,442 4. Oregon (7) 1,407 5. Auburn (0) 1,313 6. Baylor 1,191 7. Texas A&M 1,172 8. Notre Dame 1,072 9. UCLA 1,007 10. Michigan State 975
And
@rapsheet 22m Speculation looms about #Michigan & Jim Harbaugh… but sources tell me #Michigan prefers #Ravens coach John Harbaugh over Jim at this point.

Ok let me get this straight, Alabama skips a week and somehow ends up #1? Second question, not to sound like a homer but A&M literally has the strongest record(5-0 nobody else has played five) in all of CFB, everyone in front of them either played like Schitt or didn't play and they won a neutral site conference game against a rival and yet they don't move up? F*** this company

My guys aren't ranked, South Carolina is but are a fraud, and your guys other three wins are cupcakes. If anything, my guys having y'all on the ropes and shoulda finished you kinda deserves the Aggies sliding down a spot or two, since the Hogs haven't really beaten anyone either. Be happy with where you're at.

So Charlie Weis will have a decided schematic advantage in the unemployment line after being canned today with a 6-22 (!) record The decided schematic advantage is conning two programs into hiring you (and Notre Dame actually extended this guy) and go on to collect $26 million to NOT coach. He is an American Hero (and an extremely poor head coach).

If I was that kid, I'd transfer it Michigan. Might as well complete the chicken Schitt heel turn. Botched run in, limp off the field tail between legs. Only thing to do is sell out the school to get some heat back.
