And now that I think about it, what was up with his name? His entrance vid featured a downpour, and I think he made references to storms in a few promos-but his name was spelled Black Reign. Rain and Reign are not the same thing. Great grammar, TNA.

Something you could imagine Russo coming up with and cackling to himself.

Goldust is his natural (no pun intended) gimmick. He can't play any other, nor does he ever need to. He should always be Goldust and always in WWE. In other words, he's Batman. Just like Bruce Wayne is Batman's secret identity. His gimmick is Dustin Rhodes.

I like the idea of a multiple personality thing....but him doing it in that state and stage of his career was bad.

I like the idea of a multiple personality thing....but him doing it in that state and stage of his career was bad. In a way Dustin's real life history lent some credibility to the idea of him as a guy with a dark side; his problems with his dad, his failed marriage, his "personal demons," the list goes on. But he was in no condition to work at the time.

I just find it funny how many times I've seen Dustin rake off the paint, "break character" and say he's tired of being a guy in make-up or whatever (and "I just wanna be me") to always come crawling back as Goldust. At this point, it almost feels like Goldust is the real him, and each of his treks back to Dustin feel less and less authentic.

Interesting at first as it made Goldust look like Mother Teresa, but still it was awful and I'm so glad I never have to see him dressed up like that again.

I don't know if i read this on here or not but supposedly Dustin was in a REALLY bad place around this time with his various personal demons, and apparently did coke before his matches and had to battle with himself not to drink. EDIT: a quick google did it Goldust on time in TNA

It was stupid, but his outfit was badass. He should wear silver as a heel in WWE, and it would contrast Cody's gold well. i think stardust should be the one in silver.

The schoolbooks say it can't be here again. *I move my mouth away from the mic to breathe in* No one wants to hear about it now.

He looked like that one Batman villain all of the other Rogues' Gallery laughed at after he failed his audition for the Joker's gang.

Black Reign should have been a gimmick in WWE
Goldust's arch enemy.

He reminds me of something out of The Mighty Boosh in the above picture. "BLACK REIGN'S GOT A MANGINAAAAAAA!"

Who remembers that Black Reign had a weapon called Darkness Falls?
