Well, that episode was a good summary of the past 10 years of SNL.

Ah the SNL credits sapfest.
I actually had a good time watching that, thanks for making this thread because I wouldn't have known it was the season premiere otherwise.

Next week, Vintage SNL will be the Christopher Walken episode with the famous "More Cowbell" sketch. And then the NEW episode will feature Sarah Silverman and musical guest Maroon 5!
I might try to keep the conversation going (and anyone else, feel free to contribute if I don't for whatever reason), but if that doesn't pan out, I'm hoping to see you guys in this thread next week!

Things I learned tonight: The XFL is a much cleaner alternative to the NFL DC needs to get their asses on a Gentleman Ghost movie pronto Weekend Update should just be Pete Davidson and Leslie Jones talking about how hard it is to have sex in New York

I haven't had the chance to watch the new episode yet, but man that Richard Pryor episode was a treat.

If anybody's interested, VH1 is currently airing a marathon of episodes from Season 39. Relive Cecily Strong's lone season behind the Update desk!
Otherwise I'll see you guys (hopefully) for previously recorded Christopher Walken/Christina Aguilera and later for Sarah Silverman/Maroon 5.
