Other - Main Event Mafia vs. Frontline Stage One: Have MEM sweep the Frontline. Stage Two: Um.... what were we supposed to do next? Stage Three: Screw it... Sting vs. Angle!

I was pretty proud of myself for thinking like TNA and deducing that Tito was the August 1 guy and the reactions and follow up made it completely worth it. Such a crap advert for Bellator

I'm picking Claire only because the original idea was so good, her being Dixie's niece and originally she was gonna be a hot girl according to bad influence. The end result was so much worse. Like Dixie killed a potentially good angle by changing it.

My first thought was the whole thing with Daffney playing The Governor (Sarah Palin), the Beautiful People believing it and doing all these thing The Governor said would make them beautiful but was actually uglying them up as a favor to her friend Taylor Wilde. Then the BPs found out, beat up Daffney and left her for dead. When Daffney returned and wanted to know why her friend Taylor didn't help her, she got no answer, attacked her and was somehow the heel.
EY/Roode with Roode owning EY and EY feuding with Miss Brooks was a close second and is only made worse by their current brotherhood.

Bit of a dark horse choice here, with the Winter/Angelina/Velvet storyline. Even getting beyond the waste of the former talent, the silliness of Winter's ambiguous vampire/witch/destiny/time travel shtick, the idiocy of only Angelina seeing her at first, the clear contrast in the more competent Knockout storylines of 07/08, that it got no one over, Angelina's dead eye expression, no good matches, and that the whole angle didn't even make much sense, two other things specifically pissed me off about this whole thing.
One, the use of the conniving lesbian female wrestler as the heel, which is just embarrassing for something circa 2011.
Two, this angle featured segments of Angelina being brainwashed and even fed pills on camera by Winter, with the latter kissing her and giving her a topless back massage with Love being doped out of her mind on both occasions. So more or less a woman is being drugged and groped on TNA television with the most generous interpretation saying its with dubious consent, and more realistically with none at all by a heel and the reaction... Practically nothing. This disgusting and reprehensible series of acts by a one of their performers, which would be condemned if Winter was a male wrestler, is just another part of Knockouts storylines, because implications of sexual assault just don't count when it involves two chicks right?
Seriously, f*** TNA for this.

I'll go with the Abyss/Hogan thing. While it may not seem that bad on it's own, you have to remember that THIS was the main storyline in the promotion at the time. And it centered around Abyss using the power of a WWE Hall of Fame ring to somehow become this Hoganesque bad-ass.
So essentially they were implying that if you're associated with the WWE then there's nobody here in TNA that can stand a chance against you. Not to mention that storyline sounds more like something you'd find in a more tongue-and-cheek promotion or an undercard angle: not what's supposed to be the main focus of your promotion.
Say what you will about the other bad TNA storylines, but this is the one that really just cemented in my mind that TNA would always be second-rate.

See, I picked other as well. Nearly all of the other picks are at least so bad they're awesome in a Russo train wreck way. As in they're at least entertaining crap. My pick goes for the entire King of the Mountain 2006 idiocy and the booking of Jeff Jarrett circa 2006 in general. Let's review:
--TNA upper management hates the idea of Jarrett possibly being the world champion again. --Larry Zbyzsko is the authority figure scrambling to do whatever is right for business. Aside from hating Raven we never got a feel for him as a character. --Jim Cornette debuts at Slammiversary as the new GM type. --So of course at the PPV we have a conspiracy that Larry Z. and Earl Hebner screw over Sting and Christian in order to give Jarrett the title at KOTM. They pull this farce on a night when a new GM is debuting, no less. Further, the storyline is so convoluted that I never understood why Larry Z. and Hebner wanted to help Jarrett in the first place, or why guys like Monty Brown decided to join Jarrett's group, or anything. I don't even think Jarrett bribed either guy. It was some goofy crap about them wanting to remain in power and have a job, yet why help a hated heel (who is in bad with management) win a title? --Further, instead of Cornette blowing a gasket he actually allows Jarrett to keep the title, rather than simply hold it up. Hebner is fired for a while, I think Larry Z. ends up fired when he loses to Eric Young at BFG, but not before we have lie detector tests and fans' revenge matches, etc. --Oh, and speaking of the fans' revenge match, rather than simply book Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe (who was undefeated) to let Joe crush this idiot and get the belt off him, Cornette makes it a non title match. Sting beat Jarrett anyway at BFG, but wouldn't Cornette have looked even dumber if Jarrett won?
That was TNA booking in a nutshell for most of the 2003-06 time period. People doing idiotic, mind numbingly stupid things at every turn in the effort to help Jarrett.

Abyss and the Hall of Fame ring was especially dumb, because this was supposed to be thing to lure away viewers from Monday Night Raw in Wrestlemania season. It's like they thought the Hogan vs. Flair aspect could carry this turd of an angle to a wrestling boom period.

I don't necessarily think it was the worst but seeing people talk about Abyss and the HOF ring got me thinking.
I was a huge TNA fan from like 05-07. I went to almost every Impact taping and PPV from Slammi 06-Victory Road 07. After Victory Road I kinda stopped going to TNA and eventually stopped watching it altogether. I think I was more into ROH and FIP at the time.
Anyways, after a long time away from TNA, I decided to go back. Mostly to hang out with some friends. I think the show was Destination X 2010. The main event was AJ Styles vs. Abyss. I was excited because I got to thinking about their Lockdown 05 match along with some other history they have with each other.
The point I'm getting to is it was weird to show up and see AJ Styles cutting promos where he was pretending to be Ric Flair and Abyss cutting promos where he was pretending to be Hulk Hogan. I was really confused by this whole scenario.
I think it ended with a hole in the ring and Nigel McGuinness came out for some reason.

The whole convoluted Dixie Carter ownership storyline. From MVP and his Scottish limousine to the disgusting part of Dixie going through the table, and finally to TNA repeating it over and over, Mike Tenay busting one over her going through the table, her legitimately getting seriously hurt, and then the worst part, TNA selling commemorative souvenir pieces of "The Table". Just stupid and a waste.

Yeah I think Cornette was the most useless authority figure ever, like he never did anything. Jackie Gayda angle that went nowhere. It never happened thankfully but TNA offered an on air role to coach Bobby Knight. Firing Roxxi for real.

I voted for the WWE Lantern Ring ring, but: Remember Bullet Bob Armstrong whipping LAX in a cage? This was on one of the (many) used DVDs I bought when in college and I realized that I wanted to watch something other than WWE. It still felt like I got ripped off for the five-to-ten dollars I bought it for.
