I thought we all knew the BADASS CEREBRAL KING OF ASSASSINS AND KINGS, GREAT DESTROYER AND BRILLIANT CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, THE GAME, was also the master of the cool quip as well.
Does WWE.com need to put out another poll with HHH as #1 in it to remind you?

It really wasn't that bad. We need to calm down.

It isn't just just Miz though. 95% of the roster seem to be intimated or at best respectful of the Authority. It's quite a suffocating. Only his stooges were truly subservient to Vince. Everyone else gave the impression of being perfectly happy to kick his ass without much care for the consequences (and many did!)
With HHH it seems one or two aside the whole locker room have a 'Yes Sir, three bags full Sir" attitude towards him. Even Cena is too easily put in his place.

Is this where we finally see Shao Khan (HHH) snap Cages (Miz) neck?

The funniest part was that it had nothing to do with nothing in terms of the show.
It set up a match, something they, 99% of the time, never have to justify.
If there was some reason for it or it added to the miz/mizdow dynamic that would have been cool, but it was just kind of like, "yeah - make me laugh, clown!"

I get the sense that Hunter doesn't like Miz as a performer.
None of their interactions have been very positive.

Miz: Dude, what the hell?
HHH: Sorry! Force of habit!

It's another example of gimmicks being exposed through breaking kayfabe, which I detest. HHH did the same to Kofi years ago. Cena did it when he said that Alberto merely rented his cars. It's senseless, accomplishes nothing, and always makes the exposed wrestler look like a dick.
It's also part of a long standing problem where HHH always has to look like the smartest guy in the room. He always has a backup plan, and always has a smug remark that no one is really permitted to respond to, even though a retort would be relatively easy and would blow his logic apart.
As much as I respect HHH's real life work with NXT and developmental, as an onscreen performer, he's still self serving and detrimental to others.

HHH is just doing what's best for business and trying to prevent Miz from becoming larger than the WWE like The Rock did before him.

I'm more annoyed with the commentators actually selling Miz as a movie star.

I can't imagine how many guys were back there clapping while wanting to puke at the idea of this turd as champion.

I can't imagine how many guys were back there clapping while wanting to puke at the idea of this turd as champion. Is it possible to puke with joy? Maybe. In all seriousness though, he had no business being put in that position. There's a reason that Headbanger Mosh never got a big singles push and main-evented WrestleMania, and that same reason should have been applied to The Miz. He's just fortunate that he came up during a time when WWE was willing to put the title on just about anyone.

He's just fortunate that he came up during a time when WWE was willing to put the title on just about anyone. I'm glad he won the title. Miz has more value to the company as a "failed" main eventer than he would have if he never got pushed to that point. Because of WWE's "only the main event matters" method of booking and featuring talents, He wouldn't be in his current spot as a continued featured regular without that main event push. If he were never WWE Champion he likely would've been shunted to the lower card and possibly even ended up a victim of the Red Endeavoring. And if he were never a "main eventer", WWE would've never put him in their movies and thus he wouldn't have this cartoon gimmick that everyone loves so much.
