I wouldn't really call Haxan a horror film, it's something else entirely. Most of early film is hard to qualify like that. It's part documentary before the term even existed. It has an otherworldly scary atmosphere but a lot of that is really just an artifact of the time and the way films were made back then.
It's more like... an essay on the Hexenhammer done in film rather than text.

Have to disagree with him regarding Night Gallery - there were definitely a few other enjoyable episodes of the show. The Lovecraft ones (Cool Air, Pickman's Model) are good. Sure, it wasn't Twilight Zone, but then, what is?
