The only thing I'm not really digging is all the overhead shots, but so far so good after the Chavo/Blue Demon match and the segment with Konnan.

Only got to watch the main event and I'm already sold.
Also I'm loving Matt Striker as play-by-play.

Helluva debut for Lucha Underground. I wonder if the Prince Puma gimmick will turn Ricochet into a star.

This was fantastic and just goes to show how you can do wrestling differently.

This looks legit. Love the dirty lucha look.

Hulu needs to pick this up NOW.
Either that or El Rey needs to stream it from their website so I can see it.
It looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah, this was okay. In my opinion, the bad things were:
- Blue Demon Jr. vs. Chavo - The camera angles. - That Konnan segment after the Blue Demon/Chavo match.

I liked the general presentation, though they do jump cut quite a lot, and they don't need to use the ceiling cam as much as they did. It's definitely not visually a WWE or TNA show though. Dario Cueto, although a very overplayed heel owner role, is played smarmy and fantastically. Mundo/Puma was a lot of fun, and I'd like to see Sexy Star in longer matches, especially when they bring other women like Ivelisse Velez in.

I enjoyed this, it's nice to get something different in terms of televised wrestling, and the 'backstage segments' certainly weren't like anything you usually get. Only problems were a) it was very weird how they bigged up Sexy Star only to have her lose in a few minutes and b) Big Zeke still ain't got no cuts.

Just finished watching. Only faults I had with it were the cuts to commentary (jarring) and the heel authority faction (overplayed). Enjoyed the hell out of the wrestling, and some intriguing characters were set up along the way.
Will watch again.

I was entertained. We'll see about match quality going forward, as I didn't care much for the first two matches, but JoMo/Puma was awesome.

Are you all able to watch this in the US? I'm pretty sure I don't have the El Ray channel or whatever it is. Where are you guys watching this?

It was certainly entertaining and it looked as good as we expected it to. The talent was top notch, the crowd seemed into it and the Matt Striker/Vampiro commentary duo worked well too. Some teething issues for me, I'd rather have seen the first two matches go on slightly longer and knock a couple of minutes out of the admittedly brilliant Puma vs Mundo match. As someone said above, the Sexy Star booking was odd to say the least with her being built up as a take on anybody ass kicker but lost in fairly easy fashion to a Back Breaker. Hopefully there's some reasoning behind this and all becomes clear as the show goes on. I didn't have an issue with the amount of Dario Cuerto content as the first episode needed to establish him and his motivations as a character so I will wait to see how big a focus her takes up on future shows. So yeah, a great start to what will hopefully become a very entertaining and stylish alternative in the future. Fingers crossed for a UK broadcaster so I can watch officially now.

Loving it.
I have Comcast/inFinity and missed the debut ... but it's available on demand so that's great.
Looks different, feels different ... is different.
That's what people on the forums always say they want from new promotions and this delivers it.
Character development for a debut is very good -- vignettes are top quality production-wise and they storytelling is solid.
I'm in.

Things that sucked:
- Matt Striker - Cutting to the "Inside Matt Strikers nose cam" during matches every three minutes - Cutting to a different camera angle every 3 seconds - Cutting to a shot of the crowd during the middle of a match - Having the wrestlers be in a completely different area of the ring when they cut back
Things that were hilarious:
- The escaped Aztec Warriors from the history channel fighting in a wrestling ring - Matt Striker waiting approximately twelve seconds to point out that Chavo and Blue Demon Jr are old as balls - The strong, independent female equality fighter getting booked to lose in a squash in her first match - Mundo and Ricochet getting beat down by the worlds chubbiest lil' thug.
Things that I legitimately liked:
- EL JEFE - El JEFE's cocaine snort
It was a'ight. It's like a less entertaining Wrestling Society X.
