Post any wwe superstar in past/recent times that you thought was very odd that they were picked up by WWE. One superstar who was so out of place for the times to me was Buddy Landell. Boy was 1996 such a weird time for the WWE, but I remember it fondly because I was 8 years old and was the hugest wrestling fan, a pretty big nerd in school about wrestling before it became cool with the NWO and attitude era. And this is my first post back on here in at least 6 years! Love my crappers!

Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton in 1997. They were in the Light heavyweight title tournament. It was really weird to see these guys from the 80's against each other.

OK "FANers" sorry for the disrespect. Even though your so called pointing out the obvious doesn't contribute to this topic at all, but anywho, A person has to feel important I guess. I would also add I thought Scott Putski was also very out of place, and never understood why both WCW and WWF gave signed him with seemingly no real plans for the guy besides lowcard matches.

Sylvester Turkey (sorry I can't spell his last name and I'll always remember him as that) seemed out of place in the mid-2000's WWE landscape.

I'd imagine if Kurt Angle stuck around,a program between the two of them could have been decent and maybe Now we would be singing a whole different tune for Mr.Terkay

Rock and Roll Express in 97/98 during Cornette's NWA invasion thing. Had no idea they were legendary since I was 7/8 at the time. But when I got older and found out that they were a big deal, its kinda weird they were brought in for a shit angle and then disappear

Public Enemy in WWF. Nothing felt right about it.

Goldust was/is pretty weird.
But given the context and how WWE had marketed their product, Ric Flair in 1991/2 was very weird. Hogan's opponents had mostly been big muscle men, and they tried to sell on a champion outside of WWE when they marketed that WWE was the only place.

Hogan's opponents had mostly been big muscle men, and they tried to sell on a champion outside of WWE when they marketed that WWE was the only place. Yeah, but arguably, two of his biggest opponents of that time period (84-91) were Piper and Savage, and they weren't big muscle men. As a matter of fact, Andre was just a giant of a man, Bundy was obese, Slaughter was that weird in-shape/fat guy combo, Earthquake was fat, DiBiase was in shape... ...who the hell else besides Orndorff and Warrior were big muscle men? I'm seriously just realizing this now. I feel like we've all been force fed this idea that Hogan had nothing but monsters fed to him in the 80's but as far as big feuds and matches go, I'm not seeing it. And staying on topic, as far as not fitting in goes? Jerry Lawler didn't, and shouldn't have. So they neutered him completely, probably threw in a lobotomy for free, and you have Jerry Lawler of the past 15-18 years. And in a weird way, I still don't feel like Christian fits in since returning from TNA. Love the guy, one of my favorites, wish he wasn't so injury prone and got a better break at stuff, but just something about his presence hasn't felt right to me since "It's...it's Christian."

We don't really go by that anymore Should though. Infinitely better than FANers. I still say FANs should be known as the Fappers. Think of all the publicity we gould have gotten when the Fappening happened? But no, this name simply refuses to catch on. As for the topic at hand there used to be this short YouTube clip of a jobber match where this out of shape guy gets tagged in and Vince McMahon on commentary (as a face) says, "That's the biggest piece of garbage I've ever seen," but alas it has been taken down.
