It was a VERY slow start but the show does finally come into its own 4 or 5 episodes in. I actually enjoy it. Harley showed up in the last episode as the janitor and I did have a nostalgia geek moment at the end when he calls Cory "baboon," but I do actually like the show for what it is rather than just watching it hoping for BMW references. Shawn is apparently coming in December though, so there's that to look forward too for BMW callbacks.

Yeah, I still watch it. I think it's improved mostly since the first episodes. It is still a Disney Channel show with elements that most people hate, but it's written through a BMW filter so it comes out okay.

yes I do. I was so happy when Harley called Cory Baboon in the recent episode. Allan and Amy will also be in the same episode as Shawn in Decemeber. Also if you look at the credits. Rider Strong has directed 2 episodes of Girl Meets World.

I didn't watch the original series religiously and really only liked the first season out of all of them, but it was alright. I keep up with this show as I like Disney shows in general (what of it?) so I'm not waiting with baited breath for someone from the original series showing up all the time-although in the 60s episode that was the perfect chance to bring in Cory's parents to tell Riley about the 60s, but NOOOOOOO

I have been meaning to watch it. Just haven't had the time to catch episodes. What day and what time does it come on?

It seems to have found a pretty solid niche. I think (for me anyway) part of the charm is that it's a throwback to a an era where sitcoms could be cute and inoffensive

I enjoy it quite a bit, and i see lots of future star potential in many of the actors. As for callbacks, im personally waiting for Eric to show up (maybe in one of the Holiday episodes), hopefully he'll be a little more sane now (even though i loved cloudcuckoolander Eric).

I really enjoy the show, I marked out real hard when Harley called him baboon. The time slot it's in is kinda a pain in the ass though

I love the eps, and not for old call backs.
Hell the ep with Topanga as a hippie lawyer was the worst one for me so far.
I love how this show is highlighting new stars, between the four kids (Maya especially) and The little brother, this shoe is something good
Edit, and the theme song is f***ing catchy

Also I feel the need to express my intense shipping of Lucas/Maya because MY GOD do he and Riley have no chemistry AT ALL. Like...he's spent more time interacting with Maya and Farkle and has NOTHING with Riley, yet is supposed to be her love interest?

Nah, I'm honestly thinking the twist is this is just "First Love", and Maya/Lucas will become an item soon (Think ICarly with Freddie and Sam) Plus, besides Topanga falling in love immediately with Corey and vice versa, there really is no sign that Lucas is the permanent love.

I watched the pilot when it came on on-line. I stand by my feelings, it's a fine show, but I'm almost 32 and it's marketed mostly towards young girls, so it's not something I'll be keeping tabs on.

Thee are some things that make me cringe because it's a Disney show, but I like it and shall keep watching.

I binge watched a bunch of episodes while sick and was pleasantly surprised. It's not the brilliant, but it's cute and entertaining enough that I'll probably continue watching despite having aged out of the demographic a while back. I am still disappointed Eric's not there as the weird uncle that lives in the spare bedroom.

For those who only saw the pilot, I don't think it's really indicative of what the show has become. It was very, um, "pilot-y".
Yeah, it still has some "Disney" elements but the old BMW is now shining through (at least the first season of BMW).
Janitor Harley...hell yeah.
