A popular answer but I've been watching that 70's show and good god.
Everyone blames the addition of Randy, but I feel like they f***ed it all up on purpose. Eric kills his relationship, Hyde is over Jackie like nothing....and you know, Randy wasn't great.
Who wants to be the first to mention Roseanne? Well...after this.

Surprisingly enough, 7th Heaven. They had their last season, everything peaked and ended... then they went on to do another season which tanked.

Recently, How I Met Your Mother.
I never like the show at all, but the final season of True Blood was some of the worst TV I've ever had the unfortunate task of watching.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it may have been a little better than season 6, but that's not saying much. A massive far cry from seasons 1 - 5.

The final season of How I Met Your Mother was atrocious I felt. The season moves at a snails pace with throwaway episode after throwaway episode then the final episode blows through about 15 years in the blink of an eye. Just an appalling 24 episodes.

Family Matters Season 9. Not only did the show move to CBS (along with their attempt at a TGIF-style line-up), but Jo Marie Payton left the show and a new actress filled in to do Harriette for the rest of that season. Steve Urkel and Laura (finally?) got together, and he went to outer space! Yeah...

Final season of the original Dallas, a sad remnant of the early years. Now if JR Ewing was as nasty as in the beginning it would have been different. He's the Jerry Lawler of primetime tv.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it may have been a little better than season 6, but that's not saying much. A massive far cry from seasons 1 - 5. Season 5 was so amazing too a huge return to form after a disappointing season 4 with a really good sacrifice ending for Buffy. seasons 6 and 7 had some good moments both both were no where near as good as season 2-3-5 which were nearly perfect. For me the biggest drop in quality for a show was Big Love which went from great in seasons 1-3 to completely horrendous season 4-5. The show should have died when Roman did.

Had Ab Fab crossover, so invalid. No, no, no, the definitive answer is..."Laverne...where's Shirley?"

Boardwalk Empire's last season is definitely the weakest one. You can tell it was rushed and producers and writers are trying to fit 3 years worth of stories into 8 episodes and are also falling into the Sopranos trap of lets just kill everybody off.
Homicide Life on the Streets also had a really bad last season after Andre Braugher left and the cast was filled with all the pretty people (and Munch) instead of being a gritty realistic show.

100% agree with Boredwalk Empire.
Also the final season of OZ was like Tom Fontana taking out all his frustrations on the fans. "You loved this guy? I loved Homicide: Life on the Street. HE'S DEAD! No reason.
Deadwood! I almost forgot how the final season of Deadwood made me not want to watch the first two seasons ever again. Jeeeeezus HBO, get your shit together.

If you didn't like True Blood why did you keep watching? My fiancee watched. She'd watch shows with me she didn't like (Arrow, South Park, etc.) and I'd watch the stuff with her that I didn't like (True Blood, Merlin, etc.). It keeps the peace.

The season moves at a snails pace with throwaway episode after throwaway episode then the final episode blows through about 15 years in the blink of an eye. Just an appalling 24 episodes. Especially since the show had already made the seventh season pointless by showing that Barney was to marry Robin... only for Barney to divorce Robin a year after they actually marry.
