....castrol edge commercial? The one with the guy driving his muscle car and none of his dates in the past respected the car while riding with him and sees a hot girl driving a muscle car at a red light and make eye contact. That commercial had to be on the air since 2003

The anti-drinking and driving one with the POV shot of someone driving while stacking beer glasses on the dashboard. It's been on the air in Canada for at least 20 years and I've seen it within the last year "updated" (the exact same footage played in reverse).

I don't get the point of the one in rewind:

Guinness says the longest running commercial is Discount Tire's "Thank You" spot, a US regional ad that has aired every year since 1975. Other US commercials that have aired for a while include:
-The How Many Licks Tootsie Pop ad (1970 but may have been off air for years and brought back) -Campbell's Snowman ad (That's from around 1993) -Hershey Kisses "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" (Late 80's) -M&M's Santa (Mid-Late 90's)

I thought of Tootsie Pop first when I saw this thread...they redubbed the voices but it lasted a while. Same with its "cousin," the Tootsie Roll "Whatever it is I think I see..." commercial.
The Scrooge/Bee Honey Nut Cheerios ad lasted similarly, and so did the Fruity Pebbles Christmas commercial.

Christmas seems to bring out most of the oldies but goodies. The Campbell's snowman and the Hershey Kisses bells were already mentioned, but my favorite from way back when that was brought back was the McDonald's Happy Holidays ad where Ronald shows up and ice skates with children.

"It's Jake... from State Farm."
It sure feels like it's been on for eternity. It and the Sonic ads are the worst on TV.

This one has been on the air in Canada since the 80's.
Also, the Hinterland Who's Who spots have been on since the late 60's. Those still pop up once in a blue moon on Canada's CBC network.

I can't find any clips of it, but there is a car dealership locally called Kenny Ross. Their spokeswoman was some elderly relative named Aunt Penny. I don't know when the ads started running, but in the 90s and part of the 2000s they would still run commercials with black and white footage of Aunt Penny talking. It always looked so weird to see old footage of a woman who was (I assumed long dead) for that long. They eventually got rid of the ancient clip, but created a cartoon version of Aunt Penny.
EDIT: I did find a newspaper article from 1996, at which point she had already been dead since 1985. So the commercial probably ran for at least 20 years.

There is an Aquafresh toothbrush advert in the UK which I still occasionally see, it has been going since the 80s. Fairly certain I have seen it on normal TV in the last 2 years.
