It's a pretty good interview altogether actually, but I wonder if the Divas who mentioned it will be in trouble now.

So much for that newz story. I, for one, welcome our Total Divas overlords.

Nikki and Natalya are the ones who have talked about it so I doubt they'd be in any trouble.
Also having the champion be on the show is a very easy angle for the show. The talk about the added responsibility as well as the jealousy of the other girls? That writes itself.

Aren't AJ, Layla, and Emma going to be the only ones not on TD come next season?

Probably when someone in the company told the women themselves.

Yeah I'm not sure I'm buying it, Steph. I'm not saying that any of the Total Divas should get the title just because of the show, but they shouldn't be kept out of the title picture because of it either. And since Nikki and Nattie said it, and it wasn't just some random newz, I'd tend to believe it.
Unless its all a plot by Nikki and Nattie to force WWE to put the belt on a Total Diva by saying there was a policy against it, thus forcing them to prove Nikki and Nattie wrong.
I see what you did there, Nikki and Nattie.

Can't really think of an example where someone from Total Divas should've won the title and didn't (Nikki sure as hell didn't need to win), but I don't see why it would matter if that rule was a thing. Total Divas is so far behind the current product that by the time it caught up, whoever held it would lose.

This reeks of 'Yeah, we got called out on something we're doing, so we're going to deny deny deny'.

The problem is her last line betrayed what she wanted to put across.
"never say never" is something you only say if you've already ruled something out in some way. I'd bet there is a rule but she's keen to pretend there isn't for whatever reason. Like if I denied having a policy against eating meat wouldn't "never say never" make you think 'hang on, if he's not ruled out eating meat in the first place why the need to say never say never?' ?

I would think it would be cool heck they had Naomi talk about her shot being ruined because of her eye injury

It did seem like the stuff with Naomi was building up to her being the one to beat AJ, but then they just kind of dropped it with no payoff.

She showed up and took Naomi's spot as the person to finally end AJ's reign.

I do wonder if this was one of those unwritten rules, but for Nikki and Natalya to openly talk about it, I'm sure there's more to it than that. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they did put the title on one of them soon just to prove it to people. WWE does that sort of thing all the time. Paige did also tweet about being on the show by referring to herself as a rule changer.

So its ok for an obviously fake scripted show, to interact with another obviously fake scripted show. Make sense when you think about it.
