One problem I have with guys like Orton, Cena and other headliners is that their matches seems to go on forever.
I think a ten minute Cena/Orton match could be quite excellent.

Most of the matches on RAW.
And Smackdown.
Considering the bookers drag them out in lieu of actual character development.

Punk vs Rock at the Rumble. Take off everything that happened after Punk pins him and its much better.

Cole/Lawler at WM shouldn't have been as long as it was, that's for damn sure. Worst f***ing match ever.

Triple H / Michaels at Bad Blood 2004 should be the answer everybody gives. Match still probably wouldn't be great if it were half the length but at least it wouldn't be so damn boring.

Bret v Vince at WMania 26 HHH v Batista WMania 21
And very much agreed on the HHH HBK HIAC match. Way way too long and massively choreographed.

Immediately the Bad Blood 2004 HBK/HHH match came to mine, and I've never even seen it. I've just read about it so many times here.
I'm gonna have to check it out, seems very divisive.

Having recently watched December to Dismember, I'd add the Hardys vs MNM. The match was pure filler and padded out to the extreme, it could have been a great action packed 12 minute opener but instead gets dragged out to well over 20 minutes.

I want there to be an Ironman match that ends in 12 minutes, with no explanation. WCW's death left a void in wordlessly dropped stipulations and match rules that even TNA hasn't filled.

Bret and Shawn's iron man match was super boring. Take away the stipulation and just let them have a regular 25-30 minute match and it would have been so much better.

Basically, imagine a match where twenty minutes in, they start having the dramatic, crawl to their knees brawling in between doing stuff like jumping off of ladders and such kind of thing you tend to see at the very end of a war. And this goes on for over twenty minutes in its own right then the best way they can end it is Triple H just kind of shrugs, stops selling, and does a normal Pedigree, no frills and not on a weapon or anything, for the three.

Triple H vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVII could have told the exact same story that it did with a solid 10 minutes shaved off of it. After a blistering first 10 minutes, in which both superstars were just throwing bombs at one another, the match devolves into a finisher-then-kickout fest, complete with stalling for emotional responses and staring in bewilderment after somebody kicks out of a Pedigree/Tombstone/Chokeslam/Spinebuster, and it just drags.
I just looked it up on Wikipedia, and the match clocks in at 29 minutes. How that's possible is beyond me, because watching it live, then rewatching it on later dates, it felt like from bell-to-bell, that was a 40-minute match.

Well, we did get Curtis Axel vs. Triple H in a 60 minute Iron Man match that was wrapped up in less than a minute.

There was that one time that Bastian Booger put on a five star classic that went on for 39+ mins...
