Go into DefCon 4 panic mode, because they are screwed because they don't have a lot of people who are as big mainstream stars as John Cena.

They could pull it off without too much difficulty atm since they were forced to elevated Ambrose recently, but Reigns will be coming back before long.

Have lots and lots and lots of John Cena specials on the Network as the main event of Raw Had to fix that slightly, but yes.

As The King of Authoritative Kings, you know Triple H brings his boots with him. At a moment's notice, dude will lace 'em up for THIS BUSINESS if he has too.

From a wrestling and product standpoint, they'd be fine, they have plenty of guys. The brand is bigger than Cena. It might even help to have a little adversity to spark new ideas.
It'd be harder to replace him as the corporate face of the company and of the company's charitable pursuits. Charitable organizations and business partners are comfortable with Cena, and who knows how smoothly the transition would go with other guys thrown into that mix.

Basically, if Cena quit HHH's and Orton's schedules would get much, much busier. Then they'd call back some retired/semi-retired dudes to make up the gap.
Doubt it'd actually work but it's what they'd do.

A. Phil Brooks suddenly gets a lot more zeroes in his bank account.
B. Emergency reformation of the Shield
C. Vince calls in every favor he has and we get a short run of the Rock or Stone Cold.
D. Orton face turn

Honestly I don't think it would be too big of a deal. The wwe survived after hogan left and after Austin and the rock left and they will surivive after cena leaves. Plus it looks like they're setting up ambrose to be the next top guy

Yeah but they cant expect Cena to be around forever (in b4 the Cena will be around till hes 70 jokes). Plus I think in the future they wont put all their eggs in one basket and we should expect the Shield guys to rotate as the top guys much like how Austin/Rock or Bret/HBK/Diesel did in the 90's/early 2000's

Go into DefCon 4 panic mode, because they are screwed because they don't have a lot of people who are as big mainstream stars as John Cena. Overreaction. They don't need mainstream stars to have a successful wrestling program. I get it that Cena is the biggest name in the company right now, but he's been out at times before and he's hardly a singular reason why people watch. He's never been The Rock or Stone Cold who are guys that people tuned in and showed up just for them alone. There is a definite split in the crowd and I know MANY, including many on this forum, that would be glad to see Cena leave for a good long while. There would be more than a few fans who would perfectly happy to tune in and never see Cena again. WWE makes money hand over fist these days from their diverse revenue streams. The biggest hit a loss of Cena would incur is from merchandise sales. - They'd definitely push Ambrose harder. - They'd offer Brock a lot more money to show up more often. - They'd probably call Punk up, however I think this is more of a maybe. I think HHH would be against this and is certainly not a guarantee. There's plenty of rumors that HHH really does not like Punk and that goes a very long way, even with Vince. I also think they'd make an effort to have more surprises. Perhaps they'd take Angle back for a short period of time to boost interest. Maybe they'd actually push some of the younger talent more. Losing Cena for good or for a long period of time would not do major damage in the long term, perhaps in the short term, but there are many ways to alleviate it and maybe even make the product stronger by being forced to change things.

Lets remember the times Cenas been injuired.
The ratings haven't plummeted and they've pushed the lower main eventers up.
Ultimately it gives them a chance to freshen things up.
One would hope Cena does retire or move on for a few years to give them chance to change their product for the better.

Cena's out for good? That's a tough nut to crack, really, and a contingency for which I really don't think the brass have prepared nearly enough.
Hogan had challengers, any one of whom could credibly have taken his title. The Rock was already a Face of the Company in a mix of other Faces of the Company (Austin, HBK, Undertaker, HHH, Y2J, Angle, etc.) Cena is, however, in a class by himself, really: there are contemporaries (Orton, Lesnar) and even senior members of the roster (Big Show, Kane, Mark Henry), but they're not considered replacements for Cena; there are younger stars who could readily outpop Cena (Bryan, Ryback in his face phase, Reigns, Ambrose), but none are considered at that level at which they can readily take on what Cena has. A departure by Cena would create a transition scenario resembling 1992 on crystal meth.

Elevate someone quick as shit, then immediately knock them down the card once Cena is better. If Cena left for good? Orton is now the top face. Similar to Savage when Hogan took time off and then left.

You silly Americans they have found the super athlete of the future and his name is Rusev. He will crush all ratings records when he becomes the top face of WWE.
