New laptop. (Yay.)
Save a FAN member's life. Keep my computer protected. I need some cyber double-latex action. *EDIT: That sounded like I was looking up sex. Not the case. Just a condom metaphor.* What do you all say is the best way to keep my laptop safe from online threats? Viruses? Malware? All those words that make me look over my shoulder and wonder who knows I live in . . . (almost had me there, guys. oh, internet)
Thanks to everyone in advance.

AVG, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Malwarebytes. All free.

I also use CCleaner in addition to Malwarebytes and AVG.

I have McAfee and Exterminate it. Yeah, should probably replace them shouldn't I?

Malwarebytes was the best I've ever had.
It'll treat you well.

I second AVG, CCleaner and sort of Malwarebytes.
Malwarebytes is a pain in the ass in that it ALWAYS wants to update...then again I have to deal with it for 60 computers at my job.

Also I'd recommend getting an adblocker add-on/extension and WOT(web of trust) for whatever web browser you use. They've been a real life saver for me.

I umpteenth AVG. I do not, however, recommend Norton. My parents had that once and it did nothing to keep the computer from getting wrecked.
