So with Brodus Clay saying its more shocking when a wrestler doesn't read comics then being gay and how it seems like everybody here reads comics or knows so much about superheroes I really want to know if I'm truly in the minority or not

I even read them more now than when I was a kid.

Yes, but I just buy the odd graphic novel or collection these days. I keep up with comic news/lore, but I haven't tried to regularly follow (most) monthlies or had any subscriptions since I was a kid.

I've never bought a comic book in my life, but growing up I enjoyed TV shows, movies, and video games based on comics, particularly Batman and X-Men.

No, not since high school anyway. There's a few trades and graphic novels I wouldn't mind checking out, but I haven't gone out of my way to find them.

I do, but i mainly buy lots of random comic books (mostly from 1970-1993, my favorite years for comics) from flea markets, though i do pick up newer comics occasionally just to see whats going on.

Yes, I only buy them if they seem interesting if not I wait a few months until they are collected and then get them out from the library.

Not much lately, but I do. In fact...I have a couple TPBs I never got around to looking at. Thanks for the reminder.

My take has shrunk lately, but I still get 5 or more books a week on average.

Yes, but I read manga more regularly than American comics(mainly because I stick to stand alone graphic novels or trade paperback collections of the few on-going series I actually like).
I mean it is still comics regardless, but still.

I get a subscription to something every year for my birthday (this year I picked Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man). And I used to by a lot of individual comics (often based simply on whether or not the cover looks cool), though now I'm more inclined to pick up trades.

nope....but I was told by people who are into comics that is probably because one of the very first comics I read as a kid was one of the Warrior comics and that those can kill your love of comics before it gets started

Not anymore.
Or a more accurate version of that statement: not for five dollars an issue, I don't.

I buy trades that interest me and download a few scans of older comics. Pretty much this. I don't know why they're even putting out single issues at all anymore, nobody buys them, everybody's just waiting for the collections.
