They have half the roster, less tag teams (surprisingly), less divas, and somehow they're able to come up with something new each week.

Most importantly, they leave such a lasting impression in only an hour.

And with SQUASH MATCHES taking up most of the show, too!
It's amazing what squashes bring that is missing from the main shows - actual build for the big matches; spacing out matches and rematches so that each one has a distinct story that doesn't get lost in repetition; the impression that all of the stars are actually very talented, because there is an entire class of wrestlers that they are superior to; different styles of wrestling that are each uniquely effective.

The squash matches are how we get familiar with characters and their movesets. Also I think of NXT more like ECW was back during Christian's era. Everyone is on equal level with the champ with Paul Burchill being the only jobber so it made sense for people to exchange victories but also gave you credibility on a push cause of who you're beating.

HHH seems to take great pride in NXT and it really shows.
I'm not sure if he feels that RAW and SD aren't "his" yet, but I really hope the attention given to NXT reaches the main shows.

And for once the internet agrees that HHH deserves the pride he has on it! Jokes aside,he should be proud,NXT is amazing.

The strange thing is Bayley and Sasha have had a crazy number of rematches just like those we moan about on Raw, however it feels fresher probably because each their matches are significantly different to each other or at least contains something new. HHH seems to take great pride in NXT and it really shows. I'm not sure if he feels that RAW and SD aren't "his" yet, but I really hope the attention given to NXT reaches the main shows. I know it goes against the common internet logic but I think HHH is responsible for a lot of what's wrong with the main shows. He's a fan of the old school long-term NWA booking where they build a storyline to pay off over many months. That works great in NXT where they have well booked one hour shows, jobbers and only four specials a year. Trouble is the same logic is applied to the main roster, they use the same multi-month time-frame as the NWA or NXT but it contains many more hours due to the number/length of shows so it feels ten times longer. As such it just doesn't work, any eventual pay-off just isn't worth the slog to get to there.

I don't think I've heard once that HHH has any power over the main shows, rather that his projects are often sabotaged. Who knows? It's that they rotate the talent they use so it feels relatively fresh.

It feels fresh because they don't show the same people every week.

Clearly, this is entirely due to Mojo Rawley.

It really is. And I love it (MAGGLE!) Always entertaining and never feels tired or like they're retreading stuff, even when they are!

Sadly that won't happen until Vince McMahon steps down for one reason or another. As long as he's in charge he'll be micromanaging everything stubbornly to his last breath, whether it's for the best or worst.

A wrestling show will always be superior to a half-assed comedy variety sports entertainment revue.

If Raw was booked like NXT is, Raw would be better than NXT. NXT only has like 4 characters you can care about Raw has plenty but WWE makes me not care about what they do. I can care less about NXT really. Only a handful of people are important.

I do enjoy NXT and think it's the best thing WWE are putting out right now.
But I preferred NXT Redemption

About the Bayley/Sasha thing. That could be a problem in the near future, as I don't see anyone who can take over from them after any potential callup. For a long time the women's division was centred around Paige, Emma and Summer Rae. After they got called up, it's been Bayley, Sasha and Charlotte. Unlike the men, where it's clear Neville/Zayn/Breeze will soon give way to Itami/Balor/Steen as the top names. I don't see who is going to step up for the women.

Becky Lynch will probably take over at that point. Beyond her though I'm not sure who else is up for the task. Maybe Alexa Bliss will develop into a potential cornerstone of the division once she gets more experience.

It sucks that I can't watch it anymore. I don't get the Network so I used to watch it on Hulu. But now it moved to Hulu Plus so now I'm outta luck.

If NXT was a three hour show it would suck too.
