It was kinda ok. Didn't care for the lead. He played it more "unstable" than "dark and brooding", and it was one of the times it should have actually been dark and brooding.
The special effects were pretty damned bad.

I watched it and liked it. Moreso than the movie, anyway.

Saw the part where Constantine cast a spell/recited an incantation against a guy and kid and that part was pretty bad. It comes on Friday night so it's a no go for me most weeks anyways though.

The pacing at the start was ridiculous. They barely gave anything room to breath. Things just kept happening with little time to let anything sink in.
It got a little better though during the second half. Hopefully this was just a problem with the pilot.

I thought it was solid for a pilot. I'll give it a few more episodes to work out the kinks to see if I should stick around.

Got a 1.4 rating and was the second rated show for that hour. With about 4.30 million viewers

I haven't watched it yet but it looks decent enough.
I'm hearing they can't show him smoke, which is kind of ridiculous. Are you not aloud show smoking on network tv in America or something?

Finally got around to watching this. I'm not a huge fan of Constantine in the comics but the premise looked interesting so I figured I'd give it a chance. It was ok.
My biggest problem was how they dealt with Liv's departure. Everything about this episode just screamed "Liv will be sticking around and be an important part of this series". They introduced a supporting character for her in her Mom, special powers, her own secret base, even a subplot mystery about what happened to her Dad. Then they had an incredibly tacked on feeling ending that said "she left and ain't coming back". It was quite possibly the most awkward thing I've seen on television in a very long time. I understand they wanted to go in a different direction or something, but man, at that point they should've just reshot the pilot from scratch.

I seen a picture of this on IMDB and thought they were remaking the movie already.

Making it so the sidekick was on the sidelines was not helping this episode. He was the best part of the first.
This episode felt like House or SVU in the procedural that makes a bunch of wrong guessing before getting it right. It also felt like Charmed.

Fourth episode was an adaptation of the first comic arc. I thought it was great. I'm gonna be bummed if this show gets cancelled when it's finally starting to hit its stride.

I gotta be honest, this show really isn't clicking for me. Then again, I was never a big fan of the comics in the first place. But still, I'm seriously considering dropping this from my DVR.
