That 2-0 series lead the Reds blew in 2012 to these Giants gets less and less discouraging as time goes on. Had no idea they were up against this.

good game 7, but the blowouts of the previous 6 won't make this an all time great series. Congrats to Giants and Royals, but unless your a fan of either team, does anyone else agree that was a pretty unmemorable season?

It's amazing to think that with a little more speed, Alex Gordon may have legged out a game-tying inside-the-park home run with two outs in the bottom of the 9th of game seven of the World Series. Yeah, I was watching thinking he was going to score. And trying to figure out whether he slowed up any going into third, before realizing he's just not as fast as I thought. Anyhow, nice try, KC. Bring on the offseason. Should have sent him. I take my chances there, than trying to get another hit. I rather go down what way, so the 3rd base coach really screwed up.

Man, can Fox stop doing on-field presentations/interviews after a team wins a pennant/World Series? The guys sound so bored, it takes all the emotion and fun out of the celebrations.
Let them get into the clubhouse, start popping champagne, and go nuts as people try to get interviews. Give me more moments like Darryl Strawberry pouring bubbly on Tim McCarver's head after Game 6 of the 1986 NLCS.

As awesome as that game was, coming down to a one-run game with the tying run 90 feet away, is there any more anticlimactic way for it to have ended than the way it did? A foul popout? Probably the only super lame thing in the entire game.

As a Yankees fan who grew up watching the 90s dynasty I gotta say I'm so glad the Royals lost. I don't want to live in a world where they did better than the Yankees.

The blowouts were pretty boring, but the Game 7 more than made up for it. It ended as it should've ended: with the final batter being the one person between sending the Royals to win/extra innings or defeat. Unfortunately for KC, it was the latter.
Though if you like pitching, you got a lot of really solid pitching from both team's starters and relievers.

The Giants are the Spurs of baseball. A weird dynasty that has not won two titles in a row, and boring as hell. No real superstar position player. They just win somehow. While the Angels and Dodgers have all these big superstars, the Giants just go on their merry way just like the Spurs.

Also, quick question to the Giants fans: What is it like to go to the World Series on a consistent basis and actually win? You see, I am a Braves fan and have no idea what winning in the postseason consistently is like, mainly due to the fact we had an overrated mound of shit as our manager. Yes, I'm jealous. Look on the bright side, Dan Uggla is now a world champion. If he gets voted a share for those three crap games in August with the Giants.

While the Angels and Dodgers have all these big superstars, the Giants just go on their merry way just like the Spurs. Ah, but these Giants have proven immortal and invincible in the playoffs. The Spurs have had a history of coming up short at times in the playoffs.
