God, I hope that's true. Probably won't really know for a few days. But man, if Joe Maddon leads the Cubs to the Championship. Then he'd have to have Baseball GOD status.

It really, honestly, doesn't get much bigger than Game 7 of the World Series. It just doesn't. I would argue that in terms of breathless excitement and white-knuckle nervous anticipation, game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals supersedes them all. You live and die with every single second. Baseball is a much more methodical sport and there's more down time, but I'd say that after the Cup, nothing can touch game seven of the World Series.

Oh, by the way... some guy named Jose Canseco shot off his middle finger today, and he may lose it. Why is it that when bad things happen to certain people, it's sorta funny?

In baseball, you have more breaks in between and it seems slower, more paced. Hockey? In a game 7, Literally any shift or shot could end up deciding the Cup.

So it's pretty obvious that if the Giants win the World Series, Madison Bumgarner will be named series MVP, unless Hunter Pence has a monster game tonight. However, if the Royals win, the MVP award feels like it's anyone's guess. Yordano Ventura is an option, Jeremy Guthrie, if he twirls a gem tonight, could be a possibility, Salvador Perez stands a chance, Billy Butler has a case...

Kansas City should really consider getting the bullpen warmed up. San Francisco's hitters are just feasting on Guthrie right now.

Considering how hard Guthrie was tagged to start that inning, he should consider himself lucky he only surrendered two runs.

Good start for the Giants but I don't think 2 is going to be enough.

KC is lucky that was only a 2 run inning. I don't see Guthrie coming out for the third.

That was exactly the start to this half inning we needed after the top half went so poorly.
Why would Hudson do that. The ump needs to toss him.

Yeah, I think that might have been intentional.

OUCH!!!! That is not a good spot for a catcher to get hit in.
This is a potential big deal.

I can't imagine that Tim Hudson intentionally beaned Salvador Perez. He's getting hit pretty hard, the last thing he'd want to do is put more runners on base.

For once I agree with Joe Buck. Taking 3rd on that was huge.

The only way Salvador Perez is scoring this inning is if it's a home run. And even then, he might need assistance.
