Technical difficulties for the Kansas Fox affiliate? No way will that cause a backlash. That green screen freaked me out when it happened. At this point Bumgarner might win MVP even if the Royals do end up winning.

I'd keep Bumgarner on the mound until the go-ahead run is on base. I have that much faith in him being able to close the door on the Royals. They are looking absolutely punchless.

Think the Giants are happy they locked up Bumgarner for 6 years at $35 million?

Bumgarner is f***ing incredible. Talking to old timey baseball folks and they say he reminds them a lot of the way Sandy pitched in the postseason.

Royals blew their chance against him early on. Guy had no feel for anything early and they gave an out away then got defensive positioned out of a double.
Too late now, I trot him out for the 8th.

As somebody who has had Madison Bumgarner on his keeper-league fantasy baseball team since signing him as a prospect in early 2009, tonight is like seeing one of your kids winning a Nobel Prize or something.

This is so strange; a chaotic early portion of the game, now pretty much a bullpen duel dominated by MadBum.
As said before, it just feels like the other shoe has to drop some time soon. If it doesn't, then odds are that means Mads just went full beast mode and ended this sucker.

Ok now the Royals need to score. Cactus Jack needs to go back to the top of the all time ERA list.

Man, not a fan of either team but I really wanted the Royals pull this off.
With Bumgarner out there though, this game seems like a foregone conclusion.

I'm cool with SF pulling this off, mainly because I try to primarily be a National League fan, and I'd like to see Bumgarner's work rightly rewarded here.

I'd leave him in there, unless he gets in trouble.

The 40 water posted a selfie on Facebook confirming it's him. I love E-40, he always represents Norcal the proper way.

Madison Bumgarner and Clayton Kershaw is turning into the Tom Brady and Peyton Manning of baseball.
One dominates in the regular season, the other gets the job done when it matters the most.

SF (possibly) winning this shows that, even if you're the underdog, you can still almost achieve the ultimate dream right before you realize everything in life is a disappointment.
