What a waste. I'm not so much bummed as a fan as I am just... sad, for the sake of the right thing not happening for his career.

Any chances of those Angle - Bryan matches have likely been squandered to threads 10 years from now being much like the Hart - Angle fantasies. Damn man...

I'm just worried he's going to do something stupid in a match and end up seriously and permanently injured.

Clearly WWE has no interest in him. Anyone who actually held hope for Angle vs anyone under WWE contact was only fooling themselves.

I reeeeeeally hope this is bullshit, because whatever respect I had for Kurt, after everything they did to him when he was injured earlier in the year, him resigning would cause it to evaporate.

Theres only so many bumps in a wrestling ring a human body can take over a career. Unfortunatley Angle seems to be wasting all of his bumps in TNA to small audiences. No offence TNA fans

Given that Angle hasn't actually wrestled in ages now, I'd be happy for Kurt to stay with TNA as long as he is simply used as an on air authority figure. Plus have him going on talk shows and promotional tours, without actually wrestling - basically everything that Hogan should have been doing for them.
Even better would be if they could gradually phase him in as a third member of the announce team.
If, after all that, he simply HAS to get in the ring, give it a slow build up and promote the hell out of it, then have him be the hot tag in a six man tag match. A few clotheslines, a couple of punches, German Suplex, Angle Slam, Ankle Lock, job done.

Shame. Might have been fun with him doing a retirement tour around WWE but it is what it is.
Appears they didn't want him and they have their reasons. Can't say they are unfounded either.

I don't even care anymore if he wrestles in WWE, I just want to see him there. Such a damn shame.

So, TNA is really set on having someone die before they do?

So, TNA is really set on having someone die before they do? Maybe they see the Spike deal as having happened because of sacrificing Candido to the gods and they figure maybe they can pull it off again.

That's the least of his problems at this point.

This tells me WWE had no interest. Now is a horrible time to re-sign with TNA.

Kurt totally inflated his worth by implying he would go to WWE in interviews etc.
It was a work. It was a DAMN work.
