I don't see there being a slot for him in TNA.
Let's face it, he's a WWE jobber who hasn't been on TV in about 3 years, he did catch on for like a few weeks at one point, but more as a fad due to him presenting a vaguely successful youtube show (when youtube was still new) in the same way Fandango was once the biggest thing in wrestling (for like 2 days). He doesn't have much talent, has a rather bitter attitude. I don't see even TNA wanting him on their roster.

Derrick Bateman is just as limited in the ring as Ryder, never made it on the main shows in WWE,and he's one of TNA's bigger stars now. I think Ryder would have a chance.

Remember that TNA tried to push Chavo Guerrero as a big deal: the man who was thoroughly jobbed out to a leprechaun.
Honestly I don't see a Zack Ryder push being that much of a stretch. I doubt it would work, but I could see them trying it at least for a few weeks.

Ok Derrick Bateman wasn't ready for the wwe, even if he was funny and a great character, f*** even Cena had his back (although being Cena's buddy isn't really a good thing). I can see Ryder in TNA working, but if he doesn't have the leash around him anymore, and it would need to happen organically, not have him beat everybody his first month in.

Ryder in TNA?
Let's just ask this question. Is he a different enough character from either of the Bromans to have his own place on the show? No I don't think he is.
That's going to end up putting him with that group and try to elevate it (yeah...no) or feud with it in some way. Don't see either of those happening.
This leaves him a gimmick change. Could he pull it off? IDK, he can pull of a complainer gimmick, maybe he could tie that in. Still who the hell wants to see "ex WWE shoots on how he was held back" promo number 37. Hell he could probably make that his gimmick. Fun.
Honestly they'd try to find a way to push him, just due to the name value he does carry compared to what's left of their roster...still I think within 6 months he'd be settling in the mid card, and with the lot TNA has now, I might try the Indy's before TNA if that's where I was going to end up.

Yet another cocky young heel who feuds with the ECW dinosaurs. At least they'd be a bit of continuity there as he sent Dreamer packing from WWE in kayfabe.
TBF WWECW was his best work, maybe he'd thrive in a less high profile company.

How hilarious would it be if Zack Ryder went to TNA and became their 'Steve Austin'? Absolute zero chance of it happening, but it's still funny to think about.

'My name is Matt Cardona. blah blah..., blah blah... Blah blah.. Blah.. Words...." This sums it up pretty nicely.

He'd change his name to Zema Ion ... and no one in TNA would notice they had two guys by that name.

Also he could start a new YouTube show under his real name. Without the Zack Ryder trademark as an albatross, Matt could become a legit YouTube partner.

I can almost guarantee that he'd do a really terrible worked shoot promo and get shoved in to a super unbelievable role as top babyface for a month. After he doesn't draw the millions TNA expected, he'd get fed to Kurt Angle and disappear afterwards.

They (TNA) would *probably* be smart enough to let him do his web show the way he wanted (and give him whatever he needed to make it better), put him in charge of social media, and let him win matches on TV.

What do you think the results woukd be? 1.1 Current TNA would love a 1.1 for Impact. It would be a 0.9 and still be outdrawn by COPS.
