...and you wrote the screenplay for a new origin story and plot, how would you spin that tale?

I'd love to see the rumored WWE Films production about him set in the old west.

Taker would be a normal boy who lives in a house in Texas with his parents and his brother Kane. As a child, "Taker", or should we say, "Mark" was very unstable and one day he burned the house down thinking he killed everyone. He stayed alive and escaped. Fending for himself on the streets, Taker took odd jobs to survive. One fateful day Taker, as a teenager, ended up being killed in a graveyard by a deranged man who had just robbed a liquor store, the man was wearing a Hulkamania t-shirt and that's all Taker remembered before he passed. The police found his body and took him in. As he was in limbo, someone called to him and said that they'll give him 1 more chance at life. Taker asked why and they said that his job wasn't done. Taker, after thinking about it, accepted. At the teenager's funeral, a man, Paul Bearer, took the casket and held onto it knowing that Mark was not dead. He was not a normal man. Something told him he was still alive, he just knew it. Bearer held the casket in his home awaiting his return. Mark rose from the casket one fateful night as the man, Paul Bearer, held a mysterious urn. Taker didn't know what was going on, he didn't know why he was brought back to life in his current incarnation, he didn't know why he was there in this man's home, all he knew is that he had a purpose. Bearer asked him what he wanted. Taker was quiet for a few seconds not sure if he should answer this strange man but a force told him that this man was there to help him. He continued to be quiet until he turned to the television and he saw a man ripping off a Hulkamania t-shirt, the same shirt as the man who killed him. Flashbacks of his death plagued his mind. He pointed to the television and said.
"Him."
Paul Bearer looked at the television, smiled and then said "Oh yess!!!" as Taker stood up ready to go after his goal. Paul Bearer then introduced an old partner of his, Brother Love, and said he can help them get what they want. Brother Love explains that in order to get to Hogan, he'll have to take out many other men. Not normal men, men who were very dangerous. Bearer nods his head smiling as Brother Love explains the full story. Love then says "any questions?" to them both as Bearer looks at Taker. Taker doesn't respond as he slowly walks to the television and puts his fist through it feeling no pain.
"No" says Taker as Bearer clenched upon the urn. All 3 of them leave the funeral home in a hearse and head up North.

Paul Bearer and his wife can't have kids so they adopt twins, they live happily above a funeral parlour. One day little Mark comes home to see the parlour on fire, he rushes to rescue his brother but shadowy figures bundle him into a hearse. Little Paul it told his family is dead and is raised by a secret society of Druids, as the funeral parlour was the last place he was happy he adopts the moniker The Undertaker. Then one day he sees his Brother on the news as a spokesman for an evil corporation, this time he can rescue him so he uses his druid powers and teleports to their offices, rescues little Kane and kills everybody else in sight while spouting witty funeral related quips like "Rest in Peace". When he reaches the owners office he breaks down the door and says "you killed my father". The man turns around and says... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} ...no "I am your father".

It would be a remake of Steven Seagal's Hard To Kill.

Undertaker is found to be half-demon and why he can absorb so much punishment. He's sent by his demon father to gather power and minions to somehow take over the world through the wrestling business (Hulkamania was running worldwide wild, brother). Taker tries to take over the WWE (the Black Wedding, the Corporate Ministry) and many of those who worked for him (Edge, Christian, the Acolytes, etc) are actually given a trace of Taker's power. It's up to Chris Jericho to unravel the mystery, and prevent the end of the world at WMXX (where WWE would retcon the main to be Undertaker/Kane )

It would be like the Jesse Ventura movie, where he wrestles guys like Edge & Randy Orton in matches that take place in the mid-90s.

It would explore the transitions between his various gimmicks. Mean Mark can be omitted, but I'd love to see a more kayfabe explanation for the biker period.

It would seriously be every horror movie trope out there mixed into a tale spanning about 40 years of time. It would be epic and awesome and completely fall apart the second pro wrestling got involved. Like the Sci-Fi Channel.
