His motivation for breaking up the PTP was that he was tired of losing matches. So why on earth woukd he turn around and team with freaking Slater???

He wasn't exactly doing a great job winning many matches himself by the time he joined up with Heath. At that point he probably figured he couldn't possibly do any worse.

Actually, it was more along the lines of the matchmakers put them together, Slater loved the idea but at least at first Titus was against it, going by what I saw off Main Event.

Slater liked tag teaming with Titus but Titus didn't want to but all that changed when Slater pinned Rollins.

Heath reminds me of a friend's puppy dog who won't leave you alone when you visit. He gets under your feet and gets flattened a few times. Finally, you sort of resign yourself to scratching his head, and the dog's like "Yay! Attention!"

Slater was on a winning streak! Fresh off a win over Seth Rollins Slater Gator's formation actually predates the Rollins victory by a few weeks, though it was mostly stuff on the App.

"Hey, are you doing anything?" "No, are you?" "Nope" Boom...instant tag team. This should be an actual backstage skit the next time they form a tag team of two people doing nothing else.

Titus just liked the name, actually. He tried to get Zack Ryder to use his Saved By The Bell connects to get Mario Lopez at first, but Mr. Belding was partying too hard with Batista and Action Bronson to be bothered.

Darren Young was the biggest loser in the Nexus when they formed, and Heath Slater won the Tag Titles multiple times while in the Nexus. Therefore, Slater was a slightly more proven winner than Young was when they were both in the same group- so, Slater > Young for "winner".
