Clip of an interview with former FCW Diva Maxine, who appeared on the Divas season of NXT in 2010 quit WWE in June 2012.
Basically, she pitched doing a storyline where she would seduce Teddy Long and end up taking the Smackdown GM spot from him.
After giving WWE this idea, they went with it but decided to use Aksana, plus had Aksana change her blonde hair to brunette and drop her ditzy persona in favor of being more like Maxine.
Then, after they did that, Maxine was told to change her look and persona because it was too similar to Aksana.
No wonder she quit.

I never saw a ton of Maxine but what I saw of her I liked. She kinda reminded me of Summer Rae in that she seemed to get a lot of the little things about wrestling that other people don't pick up on.

Maxine was awesome, WWE f***ed up massively by not even trying to use her for anything.

I always said she was a really good actress for a wrestler. Her stuff with Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman was great on NXT Redemption. Of course those two were great, too.

Maxine was like a WWE booker's dream girl. She could do *anything* that didn't involve actual wrestling. She could talk, manage, do storylines, whatever. As much as they push people who can't wrestle well, she seemed perfect for their system.
And they couldn't even be arsed to use her in any of those roles. WWE, ladies and gentlemen.

So... they gave the role to Aksana and led it to nowhere by having her do the exact same skit for over six months where she gave Teddy Long boners. *headdesk*
Anyway, I always liked Maxine. In the ring she was pretty average but I did like her finishers. She was really good on the mic and when it came to promos/segments. Shame her career didn't last long because of shitty creative. Although, I believe she does still wrestle occasionally. The NXT Redemption love triangle was amazing.

That's pretty shitty if they just took her idea and used it for someone else without bothering to give her some meaningful TV time (ie, not NXT Redemption Purgatory) in return.

Didn't something similar come out about somebody else - forget who, Mason Ryan maybe? - pitching the Hall of Pain idea?

Maxine was awesome, WWE f***ed up massively by not even trying to use her for anything. That could be said about 90% of the talent that has been in the WWE at one time.

Didn't something similar come out about somebody else - forget who, Mason Ryan maybe? - pitching the Hall of Pain idea? Brodus Clay claimed that they used it for the hall of pain... but he explained the storyline he pitched and it was well generic monster heel wins all the time... which granted that's what the Hall of Pain stuff was... but it's kinda hard to claim that as your own idea isn't really true... (especially from what I remember Brodus didn't even refer to the monster heel winning stuff as the Hall of Pain)

They did the same shit with Drew McIntyre and Kelly Kelly, originally that storyline was suggested by Drew and his wife... Tiffany I think?

I think they did something similar to Tiffany in the WWE, where she had pitched an angle with her then husband Drew McIntyre, but the WWE wasn't interested in it. Yet after she was fired, they decided to do the angle with Kelly Kelly instead.

It's funny how you always hear from the "good ol' boys" club (see Trips, Cena, etc.) how guys need to show initiative and be proactive in their career to get ahead. Yet, here we see examples of how the company would rather screw these people over and push someone else instead.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

How's this mind boggling? People steal other people's ideas in wrestling all the time to get themselves over, it's a shitty business.

MVP tells the story on Jericho's podcast that he actually had the MVP name trademarked beforehand (which is why he uses it now in TNA) because he knew there was a chance when he pitched the gimmick that WWE would take it and give it to somebody else.

She was gonna be the new Sunny. Just that overall talent that never wrestles but can do everything else and help get other people over as well as being over herself. I was really high on her. Wrestling is missing those types of personalities right now. They had one in Ricardo Rodriguez, but he asked to leave too.
