She was gonna be the new Sunny. Just that overall talent that never wrestles but can do everything else and help get other people over as well as being over herself. I was really high on her. Wrestling is missing those types of personalities right now. They had one in Ricardo Rodriguez, but he asked to leave too. So what you're saying is don't get attached to Lana.

It is not even a WWE thing, if memory serves the Justin Credible stuff and Impact Players idea was someone else's idea. Heyman loved the idea but thought the guy who pitched it sucked so he gave it to the guy we now know as Justin Credible.

She would have been way better at seducing Teddy Long than Aksana, and Aksana's storyline just ended up in a forgettable Antonio Cesaro debut that nobody ever looks back on.
I hope we don't see 'The Boss' Eva Marie or Rosa Mendes hugging everyone.

Maxine is my all-time favorite diva. No joke. She was so f***ing awesome on NXT Redemption.

Maybe the most frustrating part of this is this story is the natural way her character should have gone. She came into the company as a woman who was wiling to use her sexuality to get ahead and had designs on getting to the top. That was her stated goal. "The only position for Maxine is on top." It would have made perfect sense for her to scheme her way into the GM Spot, and down in FCW she was a fantastic GM. Instead though, they gave it to someone who did nothing with the role.

Didn't something similar come out about somebody else - forget who, Mason Ryan maybe? - pitching the Hall of Pain idea? Brodus Clay pitched the Hall of Pain idea. Also I believe Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks pitched the Awesome Truth angle for themselves. It's so stupid. "Show some initiative, try and get yourselves over! But keep in mind, we might just nick your ideas and keep you doing shit all!"

Any instances where a wrestler pitched something and it turned into something AWFUL for somebody else. Like if Steve Austin pitched to be TL Hopper in 1995...

It's funny how you always hear from the "good ol' boys" club (see Trips, Cena, etc.) how guys need to show initiative and be proactive in their career to get ahead. Yet, here we see examples of how the company would rather screw these people over and push someone else instead. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Zack Ryder buried that utter lie deeper than WWE buried him.

People don't remember the news stories though.
When Aksana debuted, there were reports that the role she was in was originally going to be Maxine. It was given to Aksana because Maxine was, well, essentially too big of a bitch backstage or something like that so they kept her in developmental.

We're maybe only hearing part of the story from Maxine. Maybe management found Aksana easier to work with or even just more suited to the role

See I've always thought that Maxine made the most sense to be in the AJ GM role. I think that was right around the time Maxine left. AJ as GM never made sense (and I say that as an AJ fan.) I mean her appeal, especially at the time, was that she was little and looked like teenager and she could wrestle. Why would you put that character in a non-wrestling, authority role? Especially when Maxine was perfectly suited for that?

Every time John Cena asks to lose a match Vince says: "Great Idea John, but we're going to give it to Dolph instead"

This makes so much sense, as I always thought Aksana was terribly miscast in that role. Maxine would have been tremendous. She's probably one of the best actors they've had and it's a shame she never rose to any prominence.
In cases like this, when talents pitch ideas that are then used for other people, they should at least be financially rewarded for it.

Every time John Cena asks to lose a match Vince says: "Great Idea John, but we're going to give it to Dolph instead" John also wanted to be called a diseased slut on live TV, but they gave that spot to Eve instead. They really are out of control with their idea jacking.

They really are out of control with their idea jacking. Then there's the "Best in the World" confusion with Punk, Bryan, and Jericho. Then again, there's been more than one "Natural", "Nature Boy", and "World's Strongest Man".
