Hopefully they include some of Ladd's promos in his bio part; "I would slap you in the presence of your parents!" Absolutely! A lot of people will say that Billy Graham was the guy when it came time for heel promos, but Ladd wasn't far off. He had some very good heel promos that made you want to see him get his ass kicked. Oh god, Ernie Ladd was hilariously racist in damn near all the promos I've seen. "Manny Fernandez can't wrestle, he's a wetback!"

Aside from saying he was a nice guy, I've never heard anyone say anything positive about the career of Giant Gonzales. Is he on there to make the Great Khali look better?
It's fairly obvious they didn't think spending time on the Undertaker or Kane made much sense given how much dvd time they already get on other releases. Including Giant Baba likely would have cost more than it was worth.
I'm thinking there was some sort of height/weight criteria that had to be met with the wrestlers. Being 6 ft, 9 inches and over 400 pounds for the majority of their peak years seems to work with those being highlighted. With that criteria, the only one I could say who should have replaced Gonzales was John Tenta. I know he used to pad his belly to seem larger, but I think he was over 400 pounds without it.
Still, great to see guys like Haystacks Calhoun, King Kong Bundy, and One Man Gang get some attention from WWE.

That Andre vs Kamala Maple Leaf Gardens cage match is a train wreck of massive proportions. Too many repeats on these DVD sets, they need to break open that huge tape library and start giving us more rare matches. I love the inclusion of Gorilla Monsoon, Big Cat Ernie Ladd, and some of the older Mid-South and UWF footage. Haystacks Calhoun is a waste, every one of his matches for 30 years was the same. I'll wait until they stick this one in the Originals folder on the Network in 6 months. I'll need to start stacking up Network stuff to dig through once the snow starts falling and the deep freeze sets in in December.

Taker and Kane have gotten individual releases, Taker himself has multiple sets, and hell they just had a Brothers of Destruction set released. That more than anything explains their omission from this set.
