So, I'm working on a definitive history of rap in wrestling piece for a certain hip-hop site, and I want to make sure I include everything.
Thus, can you think of any times that wrestlers have rapped or that rappers have guested in indie promotions?
I'm including TNA and ROH in this. Did they ever have rap gimmicks, cameos or moments?

NWA: Wildside had a guy doing an Eminem knockoff gimmick as Slim J.

Does Cody B. Ware performing the Kings of Wrestling theme with them to the ring in ROH count? Trying to rack my brain to help.
Also there better be at least 1000 words dedicated to The Rapmaster PN News. YO BABY YO BABY YO.

ROH had Jack Evans, white boy rap lover and high flyer extraordinaire. He was interesting in that a lot of the time, we weren't rolling our eyes at him or snickering. He was just a great, awesome high flyer who also loved rap.

Thanks for your help with this, but I should clarify that I kind of need the actual act of rapping for these. Like, did Jack Evans himself ever rap in a promo?
I know there's a lot of hip-hop breakdancer gimmicks and graffiti gimmicks that have been on the indies since the 80s, but I'm trying to narrow the subject to specifically raps being rapped.

I'd give T-Unit an Honorable mention based just on what Big Larry is doing now. (Language warning) {Spoiler}Big Larry is Sami Zayn

I remember an old PWG clip of two white guys rapping where one of them says the N word. That kind of took me by surprise, but the crowd didn't seem to care. Also, pretty sure Adam Pearce was one of the guys in the clip. Just a one time thing, I doubt Pearce ever had a real rap gimmick.

Are you including public enemy from ECW?
they're named after a rap group and would often use rap lyrics in their promos.
Kind of odd they never came out to a public enemy song to my obligatory knowledge

OVW got Elvis Pridemore, an amatuer rapper/wrestler who actually released a couple of cds.

you may as well go ahead and include the entire Urban Wrestling Federation I remember an old PWG clip of two white guys rapping where one of them says the N word. That kind of took me by surprise, but the crowd didn't seem to care. Also, pretty sure Adam Pearce was one of the guys in the clip. Just a one time thing, I doubt Pearce ever had a real rap gimmick. it was Pearce and Cabana, and he said it with an "a" so its all good

I don't think they ever rapped, but BLK-OUT (A cross-promotion stable) based its logo on Run-DMC's.

If you include WCW No Limit Soldiers, also MVP did his own theme song

If you write about any young indie guys with rap gimmicks you can do worse than to include "Fat Daddy" Mack Williams wrestling out of Delaware. Here is a write-up I did about him a while back: bit.ly/10NoaSX
