Michael Meyers, who I am convinced is the worst film character ever. -No story -No character development -No weaknesses -Lame powers -Terrible appearance -Always wins He's like something brainstormed by a 10 year old and somebody made a bunch of movies about it. That's supposed to be the point if the character though, he's supposed to be almost a non-entity that kills and nothing more. Granted I agree that that's pretty boring if you don't find him scary.

I don't think it's irrational at all but I am honestly under the impression that I am the only person who realizes what an insufferable shithead Jamie Lannister is.
Also, Hawk from Soldier of Fortune. He seemed to always leave me neck-deep in shit, never landing a hand no matter how dire the main character's situation was while he took the easy route, often even basically telling me "yeah, you do all the difficult and dangerous stuff while I go chill out and do nothing to help, kthxbai".

Jamie is rather deplorable, but there's things in the books that they don't get into in the show. His dislike for the Starks, for example. As we all know, Jamie killed the mad king because the king was ordering that the entire city (and all of it's people and Jamie's father and his forces) be burned to the ground. What we don't know, is that in the books, when Ned Star arrives, he throws a hissy fit that Jamie would dare kill the king and break his vows to protect him, despite all the evil crap the king did and was going to do. Because of Ned, Jamie gets the lovely title of "Kingslayer" and has to put up with a ton of shit from Robert, his fellow kings guard, and everyone else. Jamie also was manipulated and screwed over (in more ways than one) by his idiot bitch sister, Cersi into becoming a kings guard in the first place and being stuck in Kings Landing instead of being the heir to Casterly Rock, like he was supposed to. I'm not excusing Jamie for a lot of the bullshit he's done in his life, but there are understandable explanations for his behavior (maybe not justified, but understandable). IMO, the true reprehensible villains of the books/show are Cersi, Joffrey, and Petyr Balish.

Buster Bluth. I don't like Arrested Development all that much to begin with. But THIS little mama's boy bastard is just painful to watch. Peg Bundy actually ruins Married...with Children for me. Al may be a dumb, miserable slob, but at least he's loyal to his family. I'm sure even he can do better than Peg! I agree :

Screech from the Tori episodes on, when Dustin Diamond realized he couldn't act naturally like the character, so he pretty much exaggerated every quality of him to the elevens.

I don't think I have enough hours in my day to fully explain how much I hate Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital. He's a mobster who does terrible things that are white-washed by everyone because he's supposedly a really good guy ( ?) who just has had a tough life. He's a selfish, hypocritical, mysogynistic asshat that ruins everything he touches. Everything he does is excused and he never pays for the million terrible things he's done, like murdering his son's bio dad for no reason at all. The tiny midget moobster is the biggest Gary Stu on soaps. Sonny isn't white washed at all. He takes as much shit as he gives and everyone calls him out on being a mobster, even the women in his life like Carly, Alexis and Olivia. No one on GH gets a free pass. Sonny is a necessary evil because Port Charles could easily be over run by even worse mobsters or other supervillains. I'll take Sonny over Jerry Jacks, Anthony Zacharra or Helena Cassadine. At least Sonny will help me through hard times if he likes me/feels sorry for me.

Reek from Game of Thrones. I know that we were supposed to dislike him for {Spoiler}attacking the North. But the show's attempts at trying to garner sympathy for him have not worked on me one bit. Matter of fact, I'm siding with Ramsay of all people, and the dude is a psychopath.

BTW, I find it a little unsettling how so many of these characters listed so far are women. They can't all be that badly written. Of course not, like how I hate Laurel from Arrow - Whiny, goes to pieces at a moment, thinks she's hot shit. Thea from Arrow - Whine whine whine. The Evil Queen in Once Upon a Time - WHY IS SHE NOT DEAD YET!? She's killed so many people, but she keeps getting face runs despite still having her evil music go off once a week. Daenarys - All the characters love her and say how amazing she is, and yet she has a follow me or die philosophy and rarely gets comeuppance. Betty Draper - Guh, so annoying. Montoya from Gotham - Obsessed lesbian that is really one note in pursuit of her ex's husband. Ok... maybe I have a problem.

I hate Charlie in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. He's an irritating little s*** who whines about wanting the ticket more than anyone and quite frankly with the performance of the character, I have a hard time believing this was a struggling poor kid. The one from the newest adaptation is an unrealisticly good saint yes, but I'd still take that precocious Gary Stu than the punk from the 71 film. I fully admit this is not a fair assessment but just something about that kid just pisses me off.
Bill from Kill Bill also bugs me. Its not quite hatred, but definitely a dissatisfaction. I don't know if its Caradine's performance or the writing but it never feels like he lives up to the large status the build up gives him. Beatrix, Elle, Budd, and O-Ren all feel perfectly fit (Vivica A. Fox felt miscast as Vernita personally), but something's missing from Bill. He just never feels either threatening or all that wise given what he's supposed to be. It does make me wonder if Warren Beatty (Taratino's original actor in mind for Bill) would have made it work better.

IMO, the true reprehensible villains of the books/show are Cersi, Joffrey, and Petyr Balish. So? He's still an asshole and yet every fan of the show seems to love him and the show itself clearly wants us to feel bad for him. Hell, as the Mad King's bodyguard, how many times has he killed other people who tried to end his reign? How many extra years has Jamie given him to torment his people? How many hundreds if not thousands of people died because Jamie was the one man stopping people from ending the king? But suddenly we're apparently supposed to look past all the awful shit he's done because HE tells us to feel sorry for him (which only makes him come across as even more of a jerk to me) for doing what he's killed dozens of people for doing before. Also, literally the first major thing we see him do is trying to murder a child so nope, not feeling sorry for him. And what did he do that for? So the kid won't talk about seeing him screw his sister a few metres away from the King, which by the way endangered his entire family, showing yet again what a selfish prick he is. See, he can whine about Ned Stark being a meanie all he wants, but frankly his constant disloyalty to anyone makes me think Ned was right when he said Jamie only killed the Mad King because it had become convenient, because EVERYTHING he does, he does it because he can gain something from it, or at least get out of trouble by doing it, and he doesn't care about who he has to step on or betray in the process, or how many people have to suffer from his actions. And the cherry on top is him fathering Joffrey, which lead to even more death and misery for the people he's trying to convince us he wants to protect. It's like every time you look at his history you find more reasons why he's an awful person even by the insanely low standards of Westeros, but we're supposed to feel sorry for him because he lost a hand or whatever. No, nuh-huh, I want his head on a goddamn spike. It doesn't help that the way the show acts with him is ridiculous. For two seasons they're like "Hate him! He's the worst!" and then for the next two seasons they're like "Alright, feel sorry for him now". We're shown no character growth or anything, we're just supposed to instantly find him endearing. Man, I swear just thinking about him just drives me up the goddamn wall. EDIT: no pun intended.

If we are mentioning soap characters, let me add Eric from DOOL. Okay, Nicole lied to him, but he's acted like a major prick ever since, and won't hear Nic out at all.

The Evil Queen in Once Upon a Time - WHY IS SHE NOT DEAD YET!? She's killed so many people, but she keeps getting face runs despite still having her evil music go off once a week. TBF, Regina is good in either role, heel, antihero, tweener. She gets a lot of the good lines of the show as a result. And she's hot. Inside the show? Pretty much the whole Darth Vader "there's still good in her" angle is why no one gives up on her. And the Storybrookans have met just as bad, if not worse, since. (Peter Pan = NO redeeming values)

(Peter Pan = NO redeeming values) I agree she is a fun character, but she has Joker Immunity. And a lot of bad characters still have good in them, but (especially seasons 1/2) they don't take people's hearts and keep them in an underground dungeon. Also, since she made life hell for roughly the entire town, someone should have shot her by now. Like... Jiminy Cricket.

Caitlin from The Flash: by far the worst character on the show. Partly because the actress that plays her can't emote properly and partly because the character is a whiny, little bitch.
Cersei from Game of Thrones: I don't really care if they try to make us sympathize with her in some situations. She really deserves everything she gets and I'm glad anything bad happens to her on that show.
Superboy from Young Justice: Angsty, douche bag.
Ellen Baker from New 52 Animal Man: You live in a world with aliens, cyborgs and magic, is it really a stretch that your daughter might be a powerful being? Just shut your trap and help your husband instead of bitching all the time!
