Andy Bernard. He was great in seasons 3-5 of the Office. After that, he just became a poorly written peace of filler which killed my joy for the show after Michael left. I don't give a f*** about his singing group. It was his fault Erin ditched him. I could rant on and on. Robb Stark. I would not call it a hatred but everything that happened to him was his own fault. {Spoiler} Good God, if your mother says a man she has known since childhood is a man not to be crossed, DONT f***ING MARRY SOMEONE ELSE NOT HIS DAUGHTER, and also don't ask for his help when you did just that!!! Robb Stark was the definition of "Screw it. I'll do what I want."

I hate her but it's not irrational, she's about the most annoying character on TV. Yeah, we're not gonna be friends...OK, then again, there's hope for you yet... That girl is incredibly hot but everytime she does something, everytime she speaks, I want to hit myself on the head with a hammer.

We're supposed to sympathise with him after being raised to believe his real father is evil, but even after he discovers the truth he's still an insufferable, unlikeable little shit, so much so even the producers admitted defeat and wrote him out of the show. You should see him on Mad Men, biggest jerk I have ever seen on TV.

That's probably my favorite show of all time after Sopranos. Just for Don Draper, an awesome character with a lot of pathos. I view it as like watching Bond via the Sopranos and no guns.

Marie Schrader. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} I so wanted her to be killed off My goodness I hated her so much. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Remember that face she made when she realized Hank was dead? I swear I'm gonna make a t-shirt with that picture on it. She was so annoying. {Spoiler} I so wanted Walt to turn up on her doorstep before he left, saying "no loose ends" and then shooting her.

-Every single character on Family Guy besides Meg. They are all absolutely awful people and mostly psychopaths, and the show doesn't have the bite like It's Always Sunny to pull off having psychopaths in every role.
-Almost every character on Sons of Anarchy
-Every character on Dexter post season 4 besides Deb and the guy Ray Stevenson plaued
-Sting
-JD in Scrubs. I wish Janitor would have just let him freeze in that well.
-Duncan Kane, mostly because Teddy Dunn cannot act. I actually liked Piz in the movie, so I won't list him.
-Lily and Ted in HIMYM. Lily because of the constant manipulative shit she does to other people, and Ted...well, no one likes Ted.
-Every main character in Entourage besides Ari and sometimes Drama.
-Santiago in Friday Night Lights
-Dany and Bran in Game of Thrones
I can probably go on for hours and that's just TV.

Dude was raised in Quor'toth, a hell dimension, he isn't exactly going to be coming out of that well adjusted. Heck his nickname on Quor'toth was The Destroyer, and unless you put Conan in front of that, that's not a great thing.

We've spun off into a different, albeit in some ways more interesting discussion here. Almost no one here is listing characters they hated irrationally. What we are mostly listing is characters you're supposed to like but that you hated, which is actually a really fascinating discussion in its own right. Tim from the UK version of The Office. Once you notice he can't take a joke being aimed at him whilst he does horrible things to Gareth every-other episode for having weird hobbies/friends/not being as well educated, then you realize he's a prick. The person who relishes forcing misery on others he deems as losers whilst never working to fix his own life situation, even in him asking out his office love he never really grows, he's still the same coward. Tim asked ONLY when it'd hurt the partner of his love, when he had multiple opportunities before to do it so it'd hurt people less. Whereas David Brent is a wanker who doesn't know how to function without abuse despite trying and failing to be nice and/or popular because he was always disliked/never had a good friend in his entire life, Tim is a person who has all the context/understanding/opportunities to not be an oaf but acts like one anyway in subtler/"banterish" ways at people less liked than him, and takes it bad when someone does/says something mildly bad to him. He can give it but can not take it, he's just another pathetic bully. An office tool we all know, one who's not quite as out there in his terribleness to make you able to say something without it seeming needless. Then again I also find Martin Freeman incredibly dull and irritating in all but 2 roles so maybe his acting skill/heat worked out in providing Tim with extra depth. Rewatching it recently, I did find myself sympathising with Gareth. He's not really that bad a guy, just dumb and uneducated. Brent, however, has always seemed like he was written to have some sympathy. Tim, however, is meant to be the hero of the show. If I had someone like Tim in my office I'd be complaining about them to my manager constantly too.

I might have missed it but....
HOW HAS NOBODY MENTIONED DANA BRODY YET???
There's a real problem with writing for women, especially young women, on TV and in video games which is why I love The Last of Us, Ellie is awesome.
Also, Abby Donovan.

It's part of the reason I haven't posted anything, actually, because I don't think I irrationally hate any characters. I have valid reasons for them all haha

No Scrappy-Doo? Oh it's not the 90s anymore, That's right.. Bat-Mite on the New Adventures of Batman cartoon. Worse than Orko, worse than Wendy and Marvin, worse than Scrappy! Yes he was THAT bad. Thank you Paul Reubens for making him cool. When I was a little kid...well...I actually really liked Scrappy. Honestly, I was upset when the movie did what it did to him. I used to hate Orko back in the day, and I do indeed hate the 200x version of him, but going back and watching the original 80's version, he really wasn't that bad. I kinda like him these days. Wendy and Marvin never bothered me one way or the other. As for Bat-Mite, I enjoyed the Brave and the Bold version just fine. Not really sure why I'm responding to this message, I guess I'm just reflecting on my own opinions, LOL! Feel free to hate away, my friend! I didn't mind Scrappy either until discovering the internet 20 years ago. Looking back at that, I can see how they overblew everything. I am convinced that WB is now run by said internet nerds, given the live action movie and the Benoiting of the character on DVD. Filmation Orko had heart more often than not. MYP Orko was just a douche. Wendy and Marvin I used to be thrown off by cause I was used to the Wonder Twins as a kid before Superfriends went into syndication. When the show was seen on CN, I thought they were lame and the episodes stupid. Now? Actually, the 1973 episodes were okay in that they didn't put all the tropes the show would be known for later on into place. Since they had more environmental eps, for instance, Aquaman did NOT come off as useless back then.
