I think my answer is Gau, from Final Fantasy VI. I know people who won't bother with him, and others who simply don't know how to properly use him, and then there is me, who will IRRATIONALLY spend hours and hours on the Veldt accumulating rage spells turning him into a complete offensive monster.

Penny from Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. Movie's okay, some good stuff some not so much, but I wanted to marry Keira Knightley's character. That face when they're in bed and the asteroid starts to hit...oh my god. Probably the most smitten I've been by a fictional character.

You can add Jubilee (video game) from XMen Legends for me. People hate her. I played the heck out of her and love kicking butt with her and danged if she doesn't have a really cool "special" move. I dig it all.

A few more... Anything Betty White or Cloris Leachman does. Ditto Caroline Rhea. Melissa Raccoon (Susan Roman version please) Probably Dusty Springfield, seeing as other Americans don't know her or remember her. Firestorm from DC Comics. Yes that was the only New 52 series I followed, given my love for the character. Rocket Raccoon (no relation to Melissa....wonder how Cyril Sneer would fare against him?) from SPIDER-MAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS umm it was the way she was DRAWN MAI SHIRANUI in THAT BLACK outfit! it's not one of the gals on my desktop for NOTHING! BEATRIX KIDDO ..... THIS POSTER! had this up my bedroom wall next to my computer, last thing i saw at night, first thing i saw when i woke up ..... never wanted to be a sword more really need to put it up again AMY THE SQUIRREL and probably the TEEN ANGELS PRINCESS no idea why, someting to do with the title sequence i believe ..... I'M SHALLOW SUE ME!!! and now some real life girls ..... CASSIE from SKINS uk so sympathetic to her, just wanted to hug her NIKKI GRAHAM FROM BIG BROTHER UK goes into the house in a PLAYBOY BUNNY outfit, then hsa to wait three days to get her suitcase, goes on a rampage of gurning, screaming complaining and generally making the whole house mental and funny JUSTINE BATEMAN - family ties just something about her, wanted to go deep with that one

Sully and Denise from Saturday Night Live. Lots of amazing skits to choose from, yet this duo is my ideal Halloween duo costume. It tickles my funny bone, and I just freaking dig the concept so much. And delivery is golden. (I get why others don't necessarily get the same reaction. So yeah, deem it irrational.)
-----------
Throw Wednesday Addams in there too. Christina Ricci version too for sure. Not the headliner, but my sole reason for loving that group. It just works...irrationally thus?

Riley from the Boondocks (even in that terrible 4th season he was a source of non-stop comedy).

Richard Harrow from Boardwalk Empire. Simultaneously the most badass and most sympathetic character on the show.

Tohru Adachi(Persona 4): Whiny, Self-entitled, misogynistic, misanthropic, manipulative, lazy, snobby, a troll, a sexual predator and just an all around unpleasant human being. There are legitimately no redeemable qualities about him and yet for some reason I just like him and his creepy, aloof attitude towards everything.
Loki(Norse Mythology): This guy is such a dick it's unreal. The things he does are so awful and yet utterly hilarious in a black humor sort of way. I mean, tricking Baldur's blind brother into killing him when they're trying to have a good time at a party. You can't help but laugh at how dickish that is.

Gwen from Total Drama. I honestly don't know why but its a combo of things. Her personality, her look, her attitude, and mainly cause she isn't a total bitch like every other females (most of them)

Gau is f***ing awesome. Not to mention if you use him right he's the strongest character in the game... So much so that they nerfed him in a few of the re-releases Granted if you use him wrong he uses pep up and kills himself constantly
