Several sources who spoke with NFL.com's Albert Breer said that Ohio State senior QB Braxton Miller does not currently intend to transfer.
Miler's plans, according to these sources, is to "lead the Buckeyes in 2015." At the beginning of the season, head coach Urban Meyer said that Miller would not lose the starting job because of injury. However, given J.T. Barrett's all-world play, there will now be a competition in the spring. There's no guarantee that Miller will win that competition
ESPN's Chris Lowe speculated that Florida HC Will Muschamp could find a job as a defensive coordinator after he coaches the final two games of the season for Florida.
A&M could use him as the new DC

Braxton may as well transfer now because there's no way he's getting the QB job back unless Barrett has an injury.

I'd have swapped 2 and 3, which would be the most meaningless change of all time. Number 1 I have no problem with, Bama's done more than enough to earn it at this point. They were among the better one-loss teams and beat the number 1 team, that's worth jumping 4 spots.
As for #4, it's tough for me because 2 of Miss. States 3 quality wins don't look very quality now. They combine for 11 losses, and only one of them is ranked. They're not who we thought they were, and though they've beaten some better teams than themselves, that in and of itself doesn't mean they're great teams. That just means they play college football where good teams can suck it up and lose a game they shouldn't (see Ok. State vs. Iowa State, 2011).
TCU and K-State, as of right now, are better wins than Auburn on paper (and yes, the fact that Auburn beat K-State in the 'who really wants to lose this game the most bowl is being taken into account) and hearing the CFP rep talk about the Bama-Miss. State game seemed like a lesson in double speak.
As for the conference strength argument, it's always a tenuous argument for me, but I can't really agree with the notion that Bama would be undefeated in the PAC simply because they've shown in recent years to have a hell of a hard time with fast teams, and that's all the PAC really plays now. If Bama struggle in a game against one of those teams, it'd be easy to see them going down by a few TD's and not having the guns to get back in the game, and Bama hasn't exactly looked immortal this season. You can't just drop a strong team from one conference and say they'd dominate a conference where they have to play a different style every single week, athletics don't work that way.

Where they play a different style each week...I have used this argument to justify Notre Dame's existence for years.

Have you been there?" Prior to the Aggies SEC debut vs Florida in 12

I think ND has a shot to, since they can schedule anyone they want, but I don't think they really do anymore since the B1G and PAC doesn't play that different of a game anymore, back when Linebacker U was still a thing, sure, now you're probably not going to get a drastically different game out of the PAC and B1G.

Former Viking Randy Moss said that if FSU redshirt sophomore QB Jameis Winston needs a mentor, the quarterback should reach out to him.
Johnny Manziel has also offered to mentor Winston.

I've watched all the teams in the top five. They are ranked the way I'd have done it myself. Oregon is the only team I'd give an argument to against Bama as #1, but if I have to split that hair than I give it to the tide. The conferences are just too different. If Alabama played the Pac 12 north sched Oregon did, i believe Bama would be 9-0 and I also believe they'd have beaten michigan state too. Oregon will have their chance. The November monster is coming but this time they know it. They won't take the civil war lightly nor the title game. In other news, I read a story out of Texas that said the SEC doesn't want A&M playing Texas in the Texas bowl. Whatever asshat who would block that game must hate money Its Chip Brown. Take what he says with a huge grain of Salt. It MIGHT be true...but it probally is not

Oh, goodie. It's that time of year again. When the whole (or at least 75%) Husker fandom starts freaking out and is like, "OMG! WE'RE 8-2!!! FIRE PELINI!!!"
I think I'll hide out until the season's over.

Practically speaking Bo is his own DC, plus he has spent a lot of time fixing the ST's, I think he's trying to do too much to compensate for some meh assistants. Would love us to bring a first-rate DC in so Bo could become more of a general manager. We also need quarterback coaching in the worst way, if we have to ditch Beck as OC to get it then so be it. Miller needs to either transfer or switch positions. Barrett isn't the runner Miller is but he gives the Buckeye offense a balance Miller never will.

That was shown clearly back when conference realignment first started and he was just a puppet of the powers that be, throwing-out total BS stories meant to scare/manipulate Nebraska into just bowing their heads and staying.

According to a report by the Orlando Sentinel, Florida State will receive $3.5 million for their game against Ol' Miss to open the 2016 season.
Wednesday's game between Buffalo and Kent State has been canceled by snow.
Texas athletic director Steve Patterson has previously said that he doesn't want his school to face A&M. Patterson's head coach, Charlie Strong, would actually like the two schools to face off again at some point, but it doesn't appear that it will be happening soon.
Weber State has been placed on probation for three years.

collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/11/19/report-sec-am-would-nix-bowl-game-vs-texas/God &@$/ing damn it all! I doubt that the fallout from a single game would kill the state for the SEC or even A&M. I look the other way a lot on some of the tactics used in the business end of college football because they typically make the game better. But the so called logic expressed in this( if accurate) does not adequately explain or justify nixing the game. That is greedy sick move central right there.

Are you f***ing kidding me? Won't play Texas because it could hurt recruiting? I guess this means the Aggies shouldn't play TCU, Baylor, or Houston then, and hell since Oklahoma and Oklahoma State recruit from Texas, the Aggies should avoid them. That is just f***ing ridiculous if true.
Does the SEC have a problem with Florida playing FSU or Miami in a bowl game?

wow, what a pansy-ass reason to turn down a matchup. If they're going to insist on the SEC being this super-duper-so-much-better conference, then A&M should have no problem playing a mediocre UT team. It's not like UT is any good this year.

@brucefeldmancfb: J.T. Barrett said he grew up like most kids in TX QBs wanting to be Vince Young. The UT offer never came but he's glad how it's worked out.

So out of QBs currently in the NCAA, Mack Brown didn't even attempt to recruit Jameis, Trevor Knight and JT Barrett. 2 of them are from Texas, and the one that isn't has admitted if Brown tried to recruit him, that's where he'd be. I can't even like what Mack Brown has done to the program, as an Oklahoma fan. I want the Red River Shootout to be between the 2 best teams they can field.
