Especially since Nintendo is at least aware of "A winner is you!" as they have referenced it occasionally.

Thinking it over... how has NES Pro Wrestling not made any appearances in Smash I mean not even necessarily as a fighter but one of them could easily be an assist trophy like Starman doing his Flying Cross Chop or something across the screen. Supposedly Nintendo doesn't entirely have the rights to it, thus why it's never been on the Virtual Console.

Well, that, or some ludircous "no wrestling" rule (blame the third party developers for not putting wrestling games on Nintendo consoles instead). Also, the Flying Men utilize Flying Presses and other moves, as well.

For one thing a random Natsume SNES wrestling game was put on the Wii Virtual Console, for another the entire existence of Hawlucha and Pikachu Libre.

Yeah I know, but I wanted to throw in a second choices, which is completely nonsenical, since we finally have a Wrestling Pokemon (and one of my favorites). I'm just frustrated at the lack of wrestling games lately for Nintendo consoles, is all.

From what little I can find on it the developer was listed as Nintendo... but US copyright records list "Try Company, Ltd." as the author...
But still they seem like something that should at least appear in some capacity in Smash if they had the rights to it.
Nintendo is at least aware that it's popular enough to spawn the Winner is you! meme since it was used in a few Pokemon games and one of the Mario and Luigi games.

They finally released version 3.5 of Project M last night. Just downloaded it. Somebody also leaked the Project M's clone characters for Version 4. It's nice, but it's also a dick move. {Spoiler} Knuckles, Lyndis, and Isaac.

So, with the WII U version out in less than a week, I have been having trouble finding somewhere where I can reserve it. It looks like I'll need to hunt it down on launch day.
Though, if I don't end up finding one then, I will still play it, as I was invited to play the Wii U version at a friends house next Saturday. Planning to bring my 2DS and try out the connectivity, with a GameCube controller on stand by.

I'd way rather they spent time on adding characters from 4 than any of those. Especially Knuckles. Though I guess I should go update mine then.

One of the things they discussed was how they didn't want to look like they were directly competing with Smash 4 as far as the roster goes and that the characters would have to be clones of existing fighters. I'm not a fan of Knuckles being a fighter, but I'm alright with Lyn, and I am especially alright with Isaac, although he is at a far earlier stage of development than the other two, and might be abandoned if DLC plans are announced officially by Nintendo. Most of the updated stages are visually impressive, although Kongo Jungle & Saffron City still have their bland N64 background. And I am glad to see the mechanics improve.

Still, in that case they should prioritize adding Pichu and Young Link before an assist trophy or a random third party character. Guess it beats all of those hacks that add people like Goku but still. Or hell, add Ridley, I'd be all over that. Though I guess it's just as well, I'm apparently not going to be able to update it because the computer I was using for SD card reading's gone down and the built-in updater doesn't work. Though I've barely been touching Project M anyway, really of the opinion that some of the baffling choices they've made with its movesets (like crippling Pit and Ivysaur) and the extremely limited stage selection kills it. I only really use it at all for the novelty of the random skins and Mewtwo. Really I should just look into setting up BrawlEX. It seems like it'd suit my needs way more than Project M does. Especially given I'm one of those heretics who thinks Brawl is better than Project M or Melee.

Okay, so it's leaked that Flat Zone 1 is in the Wii U version. Um...
Alright. Did anyone at all miss it? Nothing really against it, but the only thing either Flat Zone stage has going for them in my eyes is the Flat Zone 2 theme and, y'know, since 2's in as well I really doubt 1 is going to have it. Guess they might do a further remix of that song for one of them given that leaves 1 with only its theme and 2 with its theme and that other song it had in terms of songs from previous games to draw on.

Did the Game and Watch gallery games have any songs with them? That could be a possibility. Or they could use songs from early Game Boy games.

Can there be a stage with less enthusiasm about returning? I mean, what are the music choices gonna be? And, BrawlEX sounds like something up your alley. I only got into Project M because of rumors on the characters, and if my Adept becomes playable, I'm leaving it behind.

With 8 Player Smash, and at least one tweak on the side, 75m could be SLIGHTLY more viable than it was in Brawl.

Honestly I prefer walk-off stages personally so that was never the issue with it for me, more my problems with it are the springs and the major lack of any solid ground for you to actually fight on.
