I think The New Day will ultimately just be Woods, Kofi, and Big E engaging in offbeat shenanigans as BBFs being like DX, Edge and Christian, Filthy Animals, the Misfits in Action, etc. I don't think the religious/singing/dancing element will really factor in, it's just a fun way to introduce them.

I hope the RAW after Survivor Series opens with Xavier giving a 15-minute promo on how unbaptized babies don't go to heaven.

Maybe it's just a vehicle to bring the "Doctor of Style" Rev. Slick back in as a manager.

I just looked the promo up on Youtube and I'm really excited about this. Can't wait to see Big E's.

Remember when Big E started talking like a preacher for a month or so?

God, I hope not. I think no matter what direction this stable goes in it's going to be terrible, but at least if they do the Nation thing, it'd be a change of pace for Kofi. At this point Kofi's hit that point of, "Either turn heel or stay off my TV for the rest of your life."

I want R Kelly as pimp Luscious to manage them. Hell I just want WWE to do a "trapped in the closet" hop hopera!

I've heard New Dayton is know to come up to Old Dayton with tears in its eyes, wanting to hear the story about Bret Hart winning the 1993 King of the Ring just one more time.

This is the most character progression Kofi Kingston had in six years. He went from happy smiling guy to happy smiling singing guy

If this turns out somehow to be a giant swerve and we finally get our Nation reboot, I'll genuinely mark out. I disagree. I think "Black Church Congregation" is a much more interesting take on "black power" groups than a Nation of Domination knock-off. It's such an interesting idea for a group that I'm shocked WWE hasn't tried it before outside of kinda sorta doing it with Reverend D-Von.

I feel like R-Truth could pull off a street preacher act pretty damn well. That's essentially what he did in TNA and where the "Truth" name came from.

Every time someone posts a "It's a new day for x" I think of the legacy theme.

Any day now there could be violent riots in Ferguson. That story is going to be a huge deal again in the U.S. soon and the the WWE is not going to have a militant black stable right in the middle of it, that's just not happening.

Vince: "This stable isn't going to work out, people will find it offensive. Wait, I have an idea, put on these tap dancing shoes and top hats!" Haha. I think this is actually their reasoning. And to be fair, the media will be much more forgiving and unaware of ordinary WWE-racism than scary black militant racism.

Reminds me of the "New Day Co-Op" from the Wire... who would be Stringer Bell out of Big E, Xavier, and Kofi?
Need a skit of them plotting some dastardly heel scheme with Xavier taking down notes and either Big E or Kofi slapping the clipboard out of his hands and going "Is you takin' NOTES on a criminal f'n conspiracy!?"

I wouldn't mind them adding Titus O'Neil and Heath Slater in the Owen Hart role.
Edit: I gave this more thought. Every time a new nation ideal bounces around, one of my first thoughts is Slater in the Owen spot. I thimk he'd be perfect in the role and since he's teaming with Titus it just seems so damn doable. I want to hear Slater cut a promo "...although I may be Seamus white my music is James Brown brown.
