Guess the Lucha Underground contract will be easy enough with his AAA affiliation, but TNA as well? Would like to see him be able to pull that off.

The latest in the long line of "game changers" who won't change the game for TNA.

It's good to see that TNA is going to ease up maybe on their wrestlers appearing on other shows, at least that's what this looks like.

How's that gonna work if they're both on the same night? Is he gonna pull a Rick Rude? Wednesday night war with himself.
Might as well get Mysteziz and have him cut shoot promos on Sin Cara Falso on NXT.

If I thought there was any chance of TNA using him well, I'd welcome this. El Patrón works great as a face, IMO but I just cannot see TNA going for that.

"The locker room is right down that hall Dixie's office is to the right and if you take a left you can fight Joe and Abyss to the death for catering"

This would actually be a huge get for TNA. On the surface he may just look like the latest line a long line of WWE rejects, but TNA should be past the point where they can even get WWE rejects. Heck, TNA should be dead.
Del Rio was technically a main eventer in WWE within the last year (though in actuality he never went past upper midcard) so if TNA uses him right he could go a long way to prove they're still kicking. The point where Del Rio could have ever been used for growth (if there ever was a point) is long gone though.

I hope Alberto can feed off aggression alone, cuz there won't be much else to eat working for TNA.

I like Del Rio, probably more than most people here, but him joining TNA in its current state is like Matt Ryan signing with the Oakland Raiders.

Well, there is zero chance of them going against WWE so that rules out Monday and Thursday, Friday is a death slot and the weekends make no sense that leaves Tuesday or Wednesday. Now seeing as TNA asked Spike for the move to Wednesdays that makes it more likely they requested that from their new partner.

I imagine that odds are, he'll be doing something for them like Tanahashi did. I don't think he's super interested in wrestling full time in the US again.

For people who like to read too much into social media Lucha Underground just started following Del Rio. Del Rio doesn't follow either TNA or Lucha Undergroud and from what I can tell TNA also doesn't follow Del Rio. Although the computer I'm using now is a hunk of junk so I might have overlooked some stuff while looking.
Right now couldn't Del Rio be just as likely to go to ROH as TNA?

If anything, I think he'll have a stronger presence on Lucha Underground, and will be used sparingly on TNA, as I imagine he wouldn't come cheap for them. Besides, the two won't even clash, if Destination America choose to start Impact at 9pm. Lucha Underground is at 8pm and is only an hour.

It's good to see that TNA is going to ease up maybe on their wrestlers appearing on other shows, at least that's what this looks like. Honestly I think this could help turn things around. Not Del Rio, but TNA workers being allowed to work indy shows. That is one advantage that they have over WWE. TNA wrestlers have been working a ton more indy dates lately, which means that Dixie might have lightened up on the talents getting indy bookings and maybe even slashed their booking fees down to a more reasonable cut. Wrestlers will probably make more money on the indies, but TNA is at least on national TV, even if it will be on an obscure network that only reaches so many homes. The TV exposure + the leeway with indies is a good incentive for wrestlers to choose joining TNA where they can just do indies if they're not being used on Impact rather than take the very risky gamble being "a main eventer or absolutely nothing" in WWE. If TNA slashed whatever cut they were taking for indy bookings down to a reasonable amount like 5%, and then sent their workers out to get their indy hustle on, the cut that they take from that can supplement their funds.
