I read he's been treated badly these past few weeks on WWE TV, why not return to NXT?
feuds against Zayn, Itami, Balor etc...should be interesting right?

I don't think he's doing too badly on WWE TV lately. He loses all his matches, so there's that granted, but he's had big competitive matches. And he's playing in the upper part of the midcard against Ziggler, Ryback, Ambrose, etc.
And he got to prank Cena last week too. Maybe a bit too optimistic, but I think sometime in the near future when they feel there's a good time he'll start raking up wins and become a dominant Intercontinental champ.
Maybe in a year or two they'll turn him babyface and give him some title shots against a heel World champion like Seth Rollins.

Even being treated badly on the main roster means more exposure than NXT. Put him back in NXT and most fans will completely forget about him within a few months.
Not to mention, I think NXT should be used strictly for developmental talent, not a place for unused superstars of the main roster. The only time someone on the main roster should go to NXT is brief appearances to enhance one of the stars on the show, or to help out with training.

If he goes back to NXT, that means he's had a massive fall from grace. It means he's Tyson Kidd. It turned out well for Kidd, who's pinned someone on like 10 straight shows or something. But he had to hit bottom and be used to put people over in developmental first. Professionally, Cesaro would most likely not want to fall that far.
Cesaro is a guy that needs a reboot though, one that sticks. All the talent in the world, but right now it's all for naught because his character is like a cross between Steve Blackman and Kama The Supreme Fighting Machine, with a hint of Dan Severn. You see, he's really lacking in the personality department.

I don't think there is a thing wrong with a guy WWE wants to do something with go down to NXT and throw some stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. That is what the territories were for. Cesaro would benefit greatly from a repackaging. It is there own fault, but the ship might have sailed on "Cesaro-guy who is really good but loses". Let him go down there and work on something. Over exposure on national tv is killing guys who don't catch on right off the bat.

If he went from having 15 minute matches that he loses to Cena/Ziggler/etc to having 10 minute matches he loses to Neville...that is a HUGE step down. He is a mid card heel (a spot that traditionally racks up losses) who poses as a good in-ring threat to main eventers. He has great matches and can make his opponent look like a million bucks without him looking bad in defeat. He is a VERY valuable main card asset.

Or, just a crazy thought here, he could be booked better on the main roster. Yeah I know, what was I thinking.

Cesaro needs a defined character. He got all the talent in the world but he got no real character. People forget NXT is developmental. Unless they are planning to overhaul him, no need to send him down to NXT just to have top notch matches. A guest star cameo maybe. But an extended stay? Not unless there is a plan other than wrestle in good to great matches, stay on the main roster.
And you read how badly he's been treated? So you didn't see the IC title triple threat from last week's Smackdown where he was treated as godly along with Dolph and Tyson Kidd?

At this point he's f***ed without a reboot. This would keep him fresh in the ring but work on a character and the accompanying in ring changes while the rest of WWEU forgets how bad it has gotten. Three, four months from then start running video packages and have him (re)debut.

He actually asked to go on NXT the first time because he felt he wasn't doing much on WWE TV.
But I actually really liked his arc with Sami - it was just a plain good story and I don't want that to be ruined.

If he went to NXT he'd be jobbing on NXT so hard I can't even make a joke about it.
I promise you none of it would result in storylines (after 2 weeks in) or a push.

If there was a point at which Cesaro could get a real reboot without changing much of anything, it was this past Monday night. Teasing the turn that way, only to see him troll and walk across to Team Authority, placed Cesaro firmly in Orndorffesque "can't invest emotionally in him either way" territory, which would have been the Kiss of Death for any wrestler's career thirty years ago. He has to have pissed someone off enormously to be put in that position.

No. That doesn't mean Cesaro is being treated badly now, but NXT is worse for someone who doesn't need developmental at all. Cesaro has been horribly booked since Wrestlemania XXX for god knows why. All of these losses are awful for him, and in the long-run, do not benefit anybody. He hasn't had a genuine feud with anyone since Wrestlemania (minus having more than one match with Ziggler and Sheamus for a month each, and he never really followed up with Swagger, either), his signature move, The Swing, is all but essentially gone from his arsenal and completely sucked from the unique gimmick he once had, he hasn't gotten a genuinely big win since Wrestlemania, and he's never really given anything else to work with.
All and all, the one time he finally got good momentum (beginning of 2014 leading up to WM), WWE completely squandered it and ruined everything about Cesaro they possibly could. I have absolutely no idea why they don't even let him win a goddamn midcard title or something, but for whatever reason, they are damned on punishing him and have been for almost his entire run. Honestly, I don't think he's done anything notable in this company that has any pay-off for him whatsoever. Awesome feud with Sami Zayn in NXT.... Zayn is still there, and Cesaro is doing nothing on the main roster. Cesaro wins at WM XXX and gets Heyman as a manager.... Cesaro was shoved back into the midcard, Heyman dumped him for no reason, and the Battle Royal is almost never heard of again. Cesaro starts a cool new thing with The Swing that hypes the crowd every time.... now he barely does it.
I recall Cesaro was hired by WWE for a short time years ago then fired. Now he's here and WWE treats the guy like shit. What did he do to them? Does somebody important not like him? Wasn't Vince sold on him a few months back? Is WWE racist like everyone says? Sorry for the rant, but it really bothers me how WWE has many great talents like Cesaro, Bryan, Ziggler, Sandow, Kofi, Wyatt, etc., yet only once or twice in a blue moon lets one of them shine, like Seth Rollins or Dean Ambrose. Why not let them all shine? Do you have to buddy up with Triple H or something? I get networking, but how stupid do you have to be to use a high school clique mentality when it comes to running a company based on making fans happy and thus getting their money? Logistics and corporate talk aside, it's horribly infuriating and I hope like Ryback, Cesaro and these other talents live out the mantra of things working out in the end and that second chances and redemption are all very possible.
In summary, WWE screwed up Cesaro and I hate it.

I have absolutely no idea why they don't even let him win a goddamn midcard title or something. He had the US title for several months about two years ago and it sucked. Wouldn't be any different now.
