Surfer Sting is almost forgotten now I was a little kid for most of Surfer Sting whereas I was a teenager for Crow Sting so that stands out more for me. That said I do remember as a kid really liking Sting. I also marked a bit when during a promo on Nitro he actually referenced that persona.

It's going to be Jeff Jarrett impersonating Surfer Sting, don't get excited.

Such a shame many people don't remember the early 90's sting The funniest thing is that my earliest memory of him involves Surfer Sting being inducted into the Four Horsemen, only for Ric Flair to betray him and the Horsemen to beat him down. Who knew that I was seeing something that would survive gimmicks and follow him through his career. But yeah, it'd be nice if once they got Sting on board they did some kind of retrospective on his career that focused on Surfer Sting.

If the night ends with Sting pointing a baseball bat at Triple H, I'm going to scream like it's the nineties. I read this as the night ending with Sting pointing a baseball bat at Triple H and screaming, "It's the '90s!" and this made me laugh out loud.

According to Meltzer, that's actually the leaked ending for Survivor Series.

If this is true, then I would love to see Sting join Team Cena at the last minute. Hell, make it six on six with Cesaro joining Team Authority and Sting on Team Cena. If not that, then Sting makes the save for Cena and drops HHH with the Scorpion Death Drop. Have the show go off the air with Sting pointing his bat at a furious HHH, then start your Mania build.

Have the show go off the air with Sting pointing his bat at a furious HHH, then start your Mania build. In my opinion, this is about the best possible outcome. I'd much rather see Sting do something like that than go into a match with Undertaker at WM 31. I'm a huge fan of both guys but... 1. The ending to that match would be a forgone conclusion. 2. The end of the streak sorta killed that. Or it did for me, at least.

Sting would just be the next in a long line of HHH showing us WCW is no good. The only question is if he'd be professional enough to at least make it a competitive match as opposed to a squash.

If you honestly think Sting's first (and probably only) WWE match would be a convincing loss to Triple H then.....well I don't know what to say. Triple H is nowhere near as bad as you're making out.

That was a bit harsh of me. It's been a while since burying HHH was in full swing. Still, I do have clear memories of him during rein of terror and even as recent as a few years ago crapping on WCW hard in interviews and promos. That said, you're right, if they bring Sting in they'll probably treat him well. Ten years ago, I'm not so sure.

I have no doubt Triple H would put Sting over but I can't help but think, why should he? Putting over a lifelong non-WWE guy in a WWE event seems a bit odd to me.
