Might have a bit of a Survivor Series binge before the ppv, so what are the absolute best 'classic Survivor Series' matches which I should include in said binge?

SS90. Dream Team vs Million Dollar Team. Debut of the Undertaker. I can never get into that match because of how sloppy it is and how sloppy Undertaker is. Especially the tombstone he hits straight into the ropes. But as a spectacle it'll always hold up. They did a great job of creating the buzz straight away.

Yeah, it's a rec for the historical significance, not match quality, but I do love that SS as a whole (except the Gooker).

Don't let yourself get distracted by the Undertaker stuff, as exciting as it is; the real meat of the match is Bret vs. DiBiase in a genuinely thrilling finale.

It'll always have a place in my heart because it featured (at the time), my FAVE FOUR! Dibiase, Bret, Dusty and... Koko. Stop laughing.

Also Greg Valentine always looked like an out of shape 40 year old woman.

The women's match at Survivor Series '87 was really good. Surprised to find out Sherri was a wrestler then too.

Kofi knocking off Punk and Orton in the space of thirty second will always be special. Oh what might have been.
Forget that. The match isn't all that good. I'm doing this wrong.

I enjoyed Team Orton vs. Team Barrett from 2011. I've sung the praises of this particular Survivor PPV enough around here ha but it is a good'un.
I think I'll watch the Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff one today. Been a while since I did.
The start of the 2004 SmackDown match (Team Eddie vs. Team Angle) is manic. Carlito and Jesus running away from Cena and stealing a car and Angle realising that it was now 4 vs. 3 was great, and it was very well sold by Cole and Tazz.
The 2002 table elimination match, though not a Classic rules one, is pretty decent too, with a nice finish.
I liked the theme behind the first Survivor Series matches in 1987. Each match was highlighted by a champion. Intercontinental Champion Honky Tonk Man, Women's Champion Sherri Martel and Women's Tag Team Champions The Glamour Girls, World Tag Team Champions Strike Force, and the WWE Champion Hulk Hogan (and their feuding opponent(s)) were the main focus of the build up to the matches.

The 2001 WWF/Alliance was good, despite the horrid booking around it.

Really enjoyed Team SD vs Team Raw in 2005, Team HHH vs Team Umaga, Team Kofi vs Team Orton, do 4v4 count? I really liked Team Orton vs Team HHH. What can I say I am a mark for Traditional Survivor Series match, I like the whole faction warfare feel behind it, multiple guys just going out there and kicking eachothers ass and potentially making an epic story in the match (like Austin/Bischoff already mentioned), it's just such a cool idea to me when done right.

The Underdogs vs. Bodydonnas match from 95 wasn't bad at all. The good workers were given decent time and it was the first time you saw 1-2-3 Kid working heel in the WWF.
I also enjoyed from Survivor Series 91, the opening match with Team Piper vs. Team Flair. Yeah, the ending is nothing special, but look at how much talent was in there, Bret, Piper, Bulldog, Flair, DiBiase, Mountie... for what it was, it wasn't half bad.
While Bischoff/Austin has gotten most of the love here, I'd say Team Angle vs. Team Lesnar was just as good. Considering the heel team was a bunch of big guys, one of whom was a rookie and another of whom was less than that, it wasn't awful.
And for the sheer markout moment of DX, The Hardyz, and CM Punk sharing the ring, and Punk getting the biggest crowd reaction, check out Team DX vs. Team Rated RKO from 2006.

'93 & '94 will always be a soft spot for me
'93 Team Hart vs Team Lawler/Michaels
'94 The Bad Guys vs The Teamsters
Both have pretty significant splits
