I know the guy gets alot of flak for his booking and decline in in-ring ability, but holy shit that was a fine piece of storytelling from him as his character changed as the crowd got more and more hostile. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a WWE title reign sometime in the near future.

It still didn't make me understand the turn from what I heard, hence the thread I made-trips is the kinda guy that would have fired him anyway if the Authority won

I agree, that might've been the best promo he's ever given.

I thought it was a horrifyingly bad promo, but it also made me laugh harder than anything has in ages so I can't even come close to hating it.

show has always been good promo, but like 70% of the roster it's his character (and how long he's been on top) that makes people not to care about him

That promo made me laugh so hard my sides hurt. Well done, Show

I like Big Show but I usually can't stand his heel runs because they're always so boring. I thought he was great tonight, though.

That promo might go a long way to explain Big Show's career. He's a perpetually confused flake. There we go, more than 15 years of frequent turns encapsulated in about five minutes. I don't know if that was what he was going for, but that's what I took from it.

The first half of the promo wasn't really working for me, but the more whiny he got the better it was. And I'm oddly very interested to see where the Show / Rowan feud goes.
Up until the eventual godawful match, anyway.

I hated it for one simple reason, WWE f***ed up when they showed him walking backstage and picking on guys. That entire "hey I have a family and they flashed before my eyes" and whatnot he was saying for the first half of his promo rang hollow. Maybe it was supposed to be that way but it just seemed like a waste of time, like "we know you're a heel, we just saw you picking on people backstage so get to the heel stuff". They leave out that backstage bit and I think it was fine, an absolutely amazing segment, but that killed it for me.

Just seems like a total panic move.

What were the cliffs notes for those of us not watching? - I panicked in a moment of weakness. Everyone makes mistake. - You should feel bad for me because I have a disease. - I'd take it back if I could. - Come on, you've all messed up before, have sympathy. - I think you all owe me some respect for how long I've been doing this. - Well, f*** you guys too then. - Rowan? At least Cena would have an actual gripe. - Upside-down Sheamus. That's about the gist of everything Big Show said point by point. Yes, he mentioned the Cena thing.

Dignified justified coward Show is my favorite version of Show. Overall I like his entire character arc of being the least dependable face on the roster. It's very convenient in terms of logical booking too (him being a big wimp prevents him from easily eliminating threats).
