JBL: "But whose side is he on, Maggle??"

His debut has already been weakened IMO by the mere fact that the evil authority figures he vanquished really aren't gone, and have been replaced by another evil computer authority figure. So really how effective were Sting's actions anyway? it would be funny if Sting breaks the laptop with his bat and he just goes "There is nothing quote"

I don't mind Cole's selling. It didn't feel out of place when Lesnar returned and he did decent Sunday night

So glad it wasn't just a typical "Oh my!".

To be fair to Cole, Lawler and JBL, they sold it brilliantly. Cole's legit "OH MY GOD!" was awesome.

I feel like the difference is JR would have made it seem like it was a complete unexpected surprise. Cole made it sound like he's already heard that there were rumors of Sting showing up, thus not making it as big of a deal.

I would have preferred "Who's this jobber?"

Lawler: oh my gosh, it's Sting! JBL: where are the rest of the Police? Cole: uh, yeah, the 80's called they want their music back, John.

Cole was pretty much on point for Sting's appearance. I say that, and I don't like the guy.
JBL, as always, ruined it.

Cole's "OH MY GOD! IT'S STING!" followed by King's "BUT WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING HERE!?" is legitimately one of my favourite calls of all time. They really added to tr moment in my opinion.

I have a feeling JBL thought he was supposed to just sit there and mark out, then he starts listing Sting's accomplishments and says he's making an impact... right around then, I'm pretty sure Vince screamed "You're a HEEL, GOD DAMMIT!" prompting JBL's immediate "It's none of his damn business!" about face.

"Oh my (God)" "This is awesome" "I'm getting goosebumps" "I love it Maggle"
That about covers every buzz phrase for every return from now on.

Yeah exactly. He sounds so fake all the time he hardly ever makes anything sound legit. Matt Striker would of done a better job.

The commentators yelling over each other while Sting meandered his way to the ring looking like he just woke up from a nap and was still woozy didn't exactly scream 'big moment' to me. Which is a shame, because I've been wanting this for years and years. Still excited for what the future will bring for Sting/WWE though.

I read the title in a tone not unlike "You're not even my real dad".
"Yeah, well, JR would have sold the debut, and he would have let me stay up late and eat ice cream!"
