They really have made something that could be interesting and awesome into just kinda inconsequential and a waste of time. It's like they had this awesome moment at Summerslam that could've led to a bunch of different interesting directions and decided: "Nope." It really is kind of fascinating if you look at SummerSlam, the Raw the next week, and Night of Champions all together, where you can actively see them onscreen being willing to move past Cena and start setting up for the next big thing, starting to have doubts, then panicking and dropping it completely.

Considering that they made a big stink about Bryan being hurt so he had to forfeit the title since he couldn't defend it in 30 days, what's the kayfabe logic behind Brock being allowed to hold onto it for this long? Christ, this company never thinks things through. Massive logic hole in their own story because of this. Fine, Brock won't work more dates but that begs the question. Why would you put the title on a guy that's only set to work one more PPV during the year? They gambled and lost. I guess the logic is that The Authority are crooked assholes so they were desperate to strip Bryan of the title but didn't mind Brock holding it and not appearing. Now the Authority are gone, Brock will be returning to TV.

This would make for an awesome story.
They stripped Bryan of the belt...but put it on a guy who hasn't even been seen on camera in months. That's a cool, heel-making tactic to take.
The Authority could say that Bryan was stripped because he couldn't defend the title as scheduled. Brock can and WILL defend the title as soon as they *get around* to scheduling that match. It'd have been sleazy and underhanded...and WOULDN'T have made a mark on Lesnar. He's the champ. He'll defend the belt any time and any where. But the Authority is keeping him from doing so.
But instead, they just kinda...stopped mentioning the champ and the champion. Which isn't a *great* idea when a brand new $500 replica belt only just went on sale.
Carelessness, man. Carelessness.

I was in favor of Brock winning the WWE Title, but I think his title reign has been handled dreadfully. They can't at least send a film crew to rural Canada or wherever Brock is living to film a promo every now and then? I can see that playing out like a found footage movie, with this terrified film crew stumbling through the frozen woods as Brock slowly picks them off one-by-one, leaving the odd body part here and there for them to find.

This was a bad idea. Probably the worst because not only is the champ not there most of the time...when he is there he's facing Cena. What a waste. Think of all the potential challengers and yet they go with one guy.
