Agreed; Dick Tracy is a blast. It's exactly the sort of movie it should've been.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Agreed; Dick Tracy is a blast. It's exactly the sort of movie it should've been. I think Beatty helped make the Tracy character a lot less stiff than how he usually came off in the strips I've read. Plus Pacino gobbling scenery was awesome.

Rob said "will get to it in January" that could either mean he'll do some last minute editions or use it as an outright review

Also this damn song God I love it I didn't really get the core of his review - the movie, to him, was cut and dry. Well, yeah, that was Dick Tracy. It was literally cops vs. robbers. The movie did that very perfectly. It was like Doug wanted more grey in the black and white. Well, Madonna's role certainly blurred lines; and heck, Dick Tracy gets framed for a murder. And anyway, adding grey to a clean cut world results in.........something like MAN OF STEEL. He wasn't big on that one blurring Superman's lines, yet he complains that Dick Tracy didn't do this? It took a while for him to do a review I really didn't agree with. Huh.

It's a movie you seen once and don't need to see again. It's average

To me, he wasn't arguing for blurred lines in the characterization, but just *any* characterization. Kinda have to agree with him there. With the noted exception of Big Boy, most of the rest of the characters are completely cardboard and lack anything resembling a personality.

So, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, The Planes movies, and Big Hero 6 should be likely the last ones done in the run

I doubt he'll do BH6 or Alexander this round, as he doesn't have a DVD of it yet to use, and would only have trailers to work with. Wonder if he's going to do Saving Mr. Banks as the finale.

He already did Saving Mr. Banks last year.
