I just got a Steam Account.
Got Five Nights At Freddy's and Skyrim for a grand total of $7.48
I don't know about you, but I'd call that a good deal.

Congrats! And also, my condolences. You think you're getting a great deal now, but when you have hundreds of games in your library, and you've only played about half of them, you'll regret it!

Indeed. Steam Sales are a slippery slope. Thanks to them I have a library of 256 games, a fraction of which I've played thus far.

Well, here was my first experience with Five Nights At Freddy's:
I listened to the phone call, Freddy's face flashed on the screen with the "It's Me" message, I responded the way most do to jump scares, and accidentially hit the escape key, as a result.
Great start so far...

Personally I'd say Payday 2 over the original.

Last day of the sales today. Don't forget to check out the Humble Bundle store as well. That's usually Steam codes.

You have unhooked thy earthly tether, you have entered the void.
I don't recall any greater a concentrated period of gaming than when I had a decent laptop and a fondness for Steam. Enjoy.

You poor bastard. But then again, this is how my steam sale has gone. Retail ones are just keys that I got from cheap bundles or other storefronts and Gift/Guest Pass stuff is stuff that I got gifted from some dudes on Something Awful. If you want cheap games then I'd suggest hitting up Nuuvem because the Brazillian Real has an insane conversion rate and stuff works out crazy cheap. I bought a copy of Metal Gear Rising to gift somebody and it worked out to 5.50 or something like that.
RPG Maker: Dark Hero Character Pack Steam Store Selknam Defense Retail Lost Civilization Steam Store and Retail Key Retail Melissa K and the Heart of Gold Retail Face Noir Retail Retail The Sacred Tears TRUE Gift/Guest Pass Ys I and II Chronicles Gift/Guest Pass Majesty Gold Edition Steam Store The Walking Dead: 400 Days Steam Store The Walking Dead Season 2 Steam Store Europa Universalis IV Retail Worms Armageddon Retail Retail Millennium 4 - Beyond Sunset Retail Rocket Knight Comp Retail Hatoful Boyfriend Retail Crimzon Clover Gift/Guest Pass Angvik Steam Store Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Going East! Welcome to the group, and be careful. Your game library can get big quick from sales. I've been on Steam for almost 3 years and have 474 games. Between sales, bundles, and other things you can have quite a load of games real quick.

Just got Steam myself a few days ago, been playing Gauntlet and Left 4 Dead 2, and trying to resist buying all the on sale games.
thelesserevil0 is my id on there.

I don't know, Skyrim for that cheap is indeed a good deal, but paying any amount of money for Five Nights at Freddy's is a complete scam so that kind of balances that out. RPG Maker: Dark Hero Character Pack I had no idea you could buy the RPG Maker softwares through Steam. That's pretty cool, although is it really necessary to buy character packs considering the whole point of it is that you can create and import your own graphics (and there are so many free resources online anyway)?

Honestly, the Dark Hero pack has just really nice, high quality face sets and such that are classified as free use.

Skyrim's by far and away one of the best purchases on PC, if not for the mods alone. I tried playing it on my 360 when I went home a couple of weeks ago, and I just couldn't do it. It felt weird not having Orcrist from the Hobbit and not wearing Robert Baratheon's armour whilst riding into battle on an ethereal wolf.

I currently have Steam installed on my laptop. Should I at the very least get a mouse for it instead of using the pad thing, especially for Freddy.
I know, I need to upgrade to a full computer, regardless.

I only started on Steam a year ago I have acquired 701 games, it hasn't cost much at all, in fact i've spent less than I would have on a console buying the new releases of the year and a gold/psn subscription. I know I'm never going to play let alone complete all those games, but at the prices I paid it doesn't matter, I have a constant source of entertainment, I will always have any type of game I want available to me at the click of a mouse. So many good older (not by much, like around a year or so) and indie games regularly go to £3.75 or less (£5 at the most depending on developer), during Black Friday and 2 weeks of Christmas (the 2 main sales) recently released games come down drastically, Ie I got The Evil Within on Greenmangaming on the Black Friday weekends deals, it was meant to be £11, but I got it for a £5 thanks to credit I had earnt on GMG and the playfire service that gives you credit if you share your in game achievements with it and you get certain achievements (changes every week), it's only been out 5 weeks. I also got Shadows Of Mordor, Alien:isolation and Wolfenstein The New Order for around £12 each. Not to mention all the excellent Humble Bundles (don't use their store that sells individual games because the deals are shit but the bundles are usually awesome) Of course discounts are very publisher specific. Sega games are on sale every week somewhere online ie right now there's a sega humblebundle www.humblebundle.com/ as are Square Enix, whereas Capcom whilst still being on sale fairly often are alot more expensive (RE4 is always £7.50 on sale) then you have activision who never do Sales and when they do it's laughable (they don't publish anything you'll really miss anyway) reddit.com/r/gamedeals is your friend

Personally I'd say Payday 2 over the original. The original is very herky-jerky on my computer. Maybe a memory issue? Anyway, I have this and Thief 3 (got Steam specifically for the latter).

I have Steam, about 125 games, and never play games on the PC. I finally kicked my Summer Steam Sale habit this year.
Still can't pass up a good Humble Bundle though, especially when it goes to charity.
