I'm guessing somebody will try and start up FAN Idol again sooner rather than later. There's been talk between myself, Peg, Cage, couple of other people like Knalisic Big thing will be figuring out the Host and Judges. Looking for new blood there, at least in terms of people in those roles and not necessarily new to Idol, but that can be discussed in a separate thread.

I thought this was a stellar edition of the FAN World Series of Pop Culture . Great to see the winner have to really earn it, surviving all those elimination Rounds. I was a big fan of how Mr. B played FAN Idol and he lived up to his musical choices here. Strong play from everyone all around, though. Peg's always been a great host but he outdid himself here and came up with many brilliant round ideas. Wish I could've played longer and I have to admit that I second guessed a few things but I liked the choice I ended with. Definitely considering running one of these if Peg lets me. As for Hosting, heh, I never really thought it to be that hard, to be honest. You have to keep organized, have ideas, and communicate with people but, honestly, we had such great players during the last two FAN Idol seasons that it never seemed like "work" to me. I kept late ass hours and put in a lot of stuff to write things up but that was just what I wanted to do. So, definitely, different people can host and bring in their own creativity to either game (or other games that the board can come up with). Idol and this game, which is a brilliant concept imo, helped grow this part of the forum.

Congrats to Mr. B! I can't wait for what comes next, and I only hope that I can make some picks that the judges will actually enjoy.

Definitely considering running one of these if Peg lets me. Absolutely. Have at it. I only offered up the first season and this second season as a way of giving back. Have had lots of fun with the regulars, and it was my time to do something in return. Loved the new folks and appreciate their contributions. Thanks for the compliment too. I do plenty of things to screw up, and I'm nowhere near a perfect host, but all I was going for was hopefully a series of gratifications for all of our players at some point in the season for having played. In other words, I just hope everyone got something out of it. The games are a good "sharing interest" platform identical to the ones in off-topic, but there is just a longer wait to see who is attached to each "comment," with the comment in this case being the voice of your own pick. Also, it's more positive because you don't have to trash what the poster before you said about a song or movie or tv show or whatever, you just have the opportunity to counter with the things you like. Everyone appreciated at the same time. I dunno, I may be off in looking at it like that, but I dig it.
