Fun fact- the last time Oregon lost a game in which they scored 30+ points- 2009, at Stanford (51-42).

Random question: When was the last time the National Championship was played with teams not from the South? If by South you mean a SEC team, January 4, 2006. Texas vs. USC.

Random question: When was the last time the National Championship was played with teams not from the South? I believe it was the 2006 Rose Bowl game with USC vs. Texas.

Random question: When was the last time the National Championship was played with teams not from the South? As far as I know, never (assuming you mean south as in southern US and not SEC). All the NC games from the Bowl Coalition had at least 1 team from the southern half of the US (either an SEC/Big 12 team, or another Florida team). The Bowl Alliance had the problem that the Big 10 and Pac 10 champs couldn't participate due to being contractually obligated to be in the Rose Bowl. And in the BCS era, there's always been at least one southern state represented.

You know, the closer we get to this game, the more I'm glad this is the matchup we got. Of all the 4, I think this has the highest potential to be an interesting game.

I think this is the game most of America wanted. Outside of Alabama, nobody likes the Tide. And outside of Florida, everybody hated FSU.

Outside of Tallahassee would be more appropriate.

I know Ohio State won a national championship in 2002, but by today's standards, we're gonna have a fresh new champion. (That '02 title feels like eons ago)

FSU has haters from Gainesville all the way down to South Beach

Had it been Oregon vs Bama, Mariota would have destroyed that defense. With this game, both teams and coaches know mobile QBs, they know fast paced offenses. They can also shove you around. This will be the best game.

Jim Tressel is going into the College Football Hall of Fame and he's still under penalty. This should be interesting.

Kenny Hill is apparently TCU-bound.
Seems that Kenny had Johnny Football's appetite for partying but didn't have JF's ability to keep his stuff together at the same time.
After the Bama game there was reports out of College Station that he had a drinking problem
